Dr. Christian Barnard, the famed physician who performed the first ever human heart transplant in 1967 died yesterday of....

..... a heart attack.

Does anybody know of any other type of ironic deaths?

Dr. Charles Drew, the man who discovered blood plasma, died from a loss of blood after an accident because the closest hospital was "Whites Only"

Organic PR -

A guy named Rodale, who pioneered and popularized healthy, organic vegetable cultivation and consumption, keeled over and died in the middle of taping an appearance on Johnny Carson, or Dick Cavett. There was some controversy over whether they should broadcast it, but I think it was never shown. Meatheads thought it was very funny.

I am forever thankful I was born when I was instead of earlier, because that really makes me sick.
