An Irish-American Thankgiving
My great great-grand father died in 1912 of "pernicious anaaemia." Terrible waste of a young life, he was younger than I am now. Left a wife and seven kids. My grandfather told me stories of collecting coals from the railroad tracks to keep the family in heat. They had a hard life.
No comment. What was, was.
I'm thankful today, for all the immigrants, who made this country what it is: a shining beacon for many, from all over the world. Tonight, I ate a quarter of cabbage, and a bit of bacon. thanks, mickey, thanks, jim.
