Over the next couple of months it would appear there's going to be a new addition to the Zade household.

The stork will be delivering one of these to me:

Awwwww!!!!

He / she might be a little shy and malnourished at first, and I might not be able to have any male callers for a while, because his / her experience with guys won't be all that great, but we can work on that.

But I'm warning you in advance that we're going to be totally inseparable. He / she will travel in the passenger seat next to me, and I'm going to overcompensate for the fact that before we met, he / she had a diabolically bad life with no love in it.

It's going to be one spoilt little dog ;)

A former racing rescue, or abused?

Glad you're giving a dog with special needs a home. There's a special place in heaven for people like you (with angels who clean up the dog poop).

I'm jealous. I'll come back and offer congratulational hugs if I manage to get over it. Until then, you can make do with a pinched look and a measly handshake.

and photos dont forget to post lots of photos for us. That dog is way to adorable. There is a couple that comes to camp up near here and they save racing greyhounds when they are going to be put down. They are so gorgeous and cute.

Awwww! My dad looked after racing greyhounds when I was a kid -all the dogs from tghe guy Dad worked for were really well looked after but he got hold of a poor abused dog from Ireland -It was so ad to see such a beautiful dog so badly treated.

I was about 8/9 at the time and Dad told me to keep away from her'cvos she might be nasty. When he went out of the kennels (our old garage*L*) I went in and sat with her on the bed. She was so gentle and loved being stroked -Dad never told me off for disobeying him -I don't think he had the heart.

Greyhounds are amazing pets, so are whippets come to that.

Wahoo! *grins and does a little happy dance* So cute. :D

Please post more pics and full info when the new bundle of joy arrives! :) I'm sure she/he is gonna love his/her new mom.

Thanks, everyone :D

He / she might be a different colour from the one in the pic, but that kind of dog would look cute even if it were green or blue or red

I'm excited because I spent some of this morning researching how to adopt one. I still feel sad over my old one and that's probably never quite going to go away, but it's stupid sitting here mourning when there's another dog who needs a crazy mom to hang out with

I'll post lots of pics when the stork arrives with my bundle of joy :D
