An import from the GB

Once upon a time quite a while ago (about two years), I registered in the forums in order to merely announce, here, a new story I had written.

The whirling vortex that is the Generally Bored sucked me in, and I've not been back since.

However, before I just leap into the fray and begin posting here, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. Hopefully, the more regular posters will cordially offer advice on what's what. The GB has a rather different dynamic from that of the GLBT or Playground, as I've seen, so I don't want to seem out of my element. After a rather cursory observation, I've gathered the vitriol here is just a tad lower than at the GB. I'm assuming I should play more nicely with everyone.

It seems most regulars here are quite established by their works - I have links to my own in my sigline. By all means, acquaint yourself with my work. I've been reading a few here and there by this board's regulars; such talent abounds.

It's good to be back, and I look forward to posting with everyone.

Hi and welcome MWG... I recognise you from the GB. Make yourself at home, although I'm probably not the best person to be making the first overtures of welcome. I'm a rare visitor here myself these days.

Have fun... the kids here generally play nice, unlike the Gb, and they seem to be a helpful bunch too.

I've not been here long at all, but I find it a generally good natured place, littered with talented writers. As Kiwiwolf said: most people are very helpful. I know for sure I've picked up lots of good hints and tips in my short time here.

I made one visit to the GB, and got called a bitch, because I staked a claim to Alistair Campbell (somebody there had a tongue in cheek crush on him, and he was due to visit Bournemouth the following week. I said he was mine, and intended to kidnap him. ). I never went back. LOL

I hope you stick around this time.
