Still, I think you should incorporate silver's idea of making it cult-ish...'cause believable characters really help a story.

I like the cult idea, too, but something Sci-Fi could work as well. Perhaps a planet of "Amazon" type women and men are scarse on their planet... They are sex, and domestic, slaves to the Queen. (Sort of like a queen bee thing, only the queen gets laid.)

Sci-fi is fun and I'm not disaproving of that angle but a cult would be the direction to take overall. You are going to have a hell of a time with you charachters this way so unless you plan on covering up bad plot with great sex I would find a way to make a better plot.
