I thought this might be helpful to someone out there 
All roses express love and appreciation, but there has developed a special, traditional meaning behind the different rose colors.
A perceptive romantic person knows the meaning of rose flower colors and understands the symbolic message conveyed. The different rose color meanings are as follows:
Red Roses
symbolize love, respect and courage. What better way to say 'I love you' to your loved one. The velvety look a red rose petal coupled with the delicate perfume always touches the heart and generates feelings of romance. Also means Respect, Congratulation, Sincere Love, and Passion.
Dark Red Roses
mean Unconscious Beauty.
Pink Roses
suggest elegance, gentility, grace, style and poetic romance but combined with a sense of frivolity and indulgence. Pink roses indicate perfect happiness. They say 'please believe me'. A delightful display of light pink roses gives style and elegance to any setting. A light pink rose color meaning is admiration.
Deep pink roses
convey 'thank you'.
