An AH Casting Call

I was a huge fan of the transformers as a kid.

1) I tend to wander around in the black cowboy hat and shoot dangerous glances, but I'm all good-guy on the inside.
2) I would most definitely transform into a light-speed capable motorcycle.
3) Dark blue or black with lightning/eletricity accents.
4) I can't think of an individual task or specialty, but I am a bona-fide leader.

They have smaller versions of transformers don't they? Minibots or something? Perhaps I could be like that?

I have officially started writing the story. It's just an intro, nothing to do with the plot yet, but it's still exciting. I promise here and now that every character will have a line in this story. It may only be a few words, but everyone will get to say something.

Did I mention there's 74 characters as of right now, and perhaps more on the way? If anyone still wants to join in it's definitely not too late.

Yeah it is, and more than a few people have told me that I'm completely insane.

There is a distinct and likely chance that they are very much correct in this assumption.

Thanks by the way. It's Bumblebee, and I think his character matches many of my own characteristics. He's kinda like the cheerful kid brother of the Autobots, and I kind of see myself that way as well. Seemed like a perfect fit.

Maybe what's insane is that we all jumped at the chance to become "transformed" and we knew immediately exactly what we should be. I hadn't even finished reading your request and I thought, "Evil purple metallic sabretooth tiger and a good little witch. A perfect Transformer!"

Ok, looking for some advice here. Is this too long for an introduction? I'm trying not to have to explain every little word or phrase during the course of the story, as I want it to flow fairly quickly. I would likely use all the phrases I explained in this intro, and there may be a few others I'm not remembering off the top of my head that I may run into, but I don't think so. Should I keep it like this, add the information into the story, or move it to the end of the story? Maybe make some footnotes? Or maybe even a glossary at the end? Suggestions?



The Transformers: AH Style

Before we get started I figured it would be best if I introduced everybody to the world of Transformers. The Transformers are a race of robots who transform into all manner of things, including vehicles, animals, and even everyday household items. They inhabit the planet of Cybertron, and have been engaged in a civil war which has raged for millions of years. The two factions include the Heroic Autobots, and the Evil Decepticons. The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, fight for freedom, and to protect the innocent. The Decepticons, led by Megatron, seek to conquer the universe.

All Transformers own a spark, which is like their soul. It is what makes each of them unique and what gives them life. Each Spark is created from The Matrix, and returns there when the Transformer dies. It is said to be part of the very essence of their God, Primus, and is held by the Supreme Commander of the Autobots, known as “Prime.” The most famous of the Prime’s is Optimus Prime, and is widely considered the greatest Autobot who ever lived.

All Transformers have the ability to Transform. When they inhabit a new planet, they “Reformat,” which basically means that they either upgrade or alter their own bodies, to adapt to their new surroundings. Thus they have come to be known as “Robots in Disguise.”

The Decepticons primary goals on Earth typically involve stealing its energy/resources. This energy is stored in Energon Cubes, where it is chemically altered into fuel that they can utilize, known as Energon. The first Autobots left Cybertron because of a dangerous shortage of Energon.

When a Transformer shuts down, but doesn’t die it is known as going into Stasis Lock. This allows the Transformer to recover and repair itself, and is kind of like being unconscious, or in extreme cases, in a coma.

This chapter of the AH Fantasy portrays the members of the AH as Transformers. Every participant chose their own alternate form, and most chose what side they wanted to be on. It was interesting to see what everyone wanted to be.

I want to make it clear that I am in no way affiliated with Hasbro, or any other company involved with the Transformers. This is purely a work of fiction created by me.

I started the story yesterday, and the first major battle is just over the horizon, so it wont be long now.
