Amorous Goods, A Literotica Anthology Series Season 3

AG logo 525x385.jpg

In television and movies, an anthology series consists of multiple stories written by different authors using a common theme or core story concept. This will be the goal here, for authors to write their own original stories using the basic premise outlined below. Authors should create and develop their own characters as customers of the store, the objects involved and the effect they have on the characters while retaining some contact with the store and the main characters who run it.

Stories may also feature the main characters and the business itself as described and named in the Story Ideas thread.

The general concept uses the structure of the TV show "Friday the 13th, The Series" which spawned the ideas for other shows such as 'Buffy, The Vampire Slayer' and 'Warehouse 13', among others. Authors who choose to participate should familiarize themselves with the series Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friday...th:_The_Series

Story titles should be formatted as 'Amorous Goods: (custom story title)' to help keep within the concept and help readers find connected stories. As this may make your title longer than usually allowed, please place the full title in the "Notes to Admin" field.

The following Prologue or a close variation should also be included at the beginning of each story submission for the same reason:

----------------

Prologue:

A lifelong collector of goods and objects from far and wide has passed and left the entire collection and the business built around them to the only remaining relative, a niece on a career path of her own. Vikki has taken on the task of administering the estate and liquidating the business and collection. However, she has come to find out that many of the goods have been cursed or enchanted with amorous powers that affect those who encounter them. These are the stories of some of those encounters with objects found at "Amorous Goods".

-----------------------

If you choose to alter the above, be sure to include a similar last line mentioning the store name.

Authors can choose any Literotica category, just as they would with any other submission. While there are no real rules outside of Literotica's general rules for submissions, I'd rather not see them get too far into horror and gore or scream queen type content. Preference would be more towards light horror with erotic or comedic overtones. Think of films like 'High Spirits' if you deal with hauntings or ghosts for example. There should be elements of mystery and some unexpected turns.

There is an ongoing thread in the Story Ideas forum with further information and concept development that can be considered a story runner: https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1527427 Discussion can be carried out and questions posed there.

Open to all authors provided they read and understand the concept.

Admin requests that writers include the phrase "AMOROUS GOODS" in the "Notes to Admin" field so that they can find the stories and add them to the challenge.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there is a Halloween story contest happening in October. Authors can enter their Amorous Goods tale in both the Halloween contest AND the Amorous Good anthology. Since the challenge is not a contest, there's no conflict.

The Story Ideas thread linked above is open and active for discussion. Authors can begin working on their stories as soon as they have time, but submissions will have to wait until October to be eligible for the Halloween Contest. I intend for this anthology to be open ended, so stories can be added afterwards also.

So, to the basics

1. Stay more or less within the outline.
2. You can write in any category and any length, as long as you keep in mind Rule #1
3. The title should start with "Amorous Goods: XXXX". Please place the full title in the "Notes to Admin" field if it doesn't fit in the standard box.
3. Please include “Amorous Goods 2022” in the notes field. Please use this exact wording so Laurel can identify the entries.
4. Please use “Amorous Goods” as a story tag
5. You can submit anytime from 1 October 2022 on, but all entries need to be submitted by 11:59 pm, 31 October 2022.
6. All stories will Go Live on Literotica on 2 November 2022.
7. If you plan to enter the Halloween Competition, make sure you add both tags to the notes field!

So, get your mysterious and spooky on. Make 'em creepy & kooky and all together oooky (Oops, wrong show!)

(Thanks to jAF0 for originally starting this Anthology idea.)

Do we still need to have Vikki, her cousin Dylan, Morgana, or older guy with wisdom in the story at some point in order to tie all the stories together into an anthology?

I remember your story, some type of father fucking incest tail.

The store, based in an old mansion, is the key but should mention the staff even if it's only in passing.

My story, which was in I/T, mentioned Dylan as a shop assistant helping my MC select a Christmas gift for her dad. It was a cheap Japanese pocket watch that was inhabited by a demon who could stop time and affect people's minds.

I have an idea for this year, but it's only a vague concept so far. It won't be a Halloween based story.

My idea about an ankle bracelet keeps growing and pushing aside other projects, like the summer lovin' contest and the AI Era event.

Thanks for the bump, Duleigh.

AG is an event, not a competition. It's set around Halloween, but the story doesn't HAVE to be Halloween related. My last story was actually set at Christmas.

I'm trying to make up for lost time, I haven't produced anything for over a decade and a half. Now that the muse is singing, I'm going to log some key strokes.

BTW - I figured out how to work Ghost Writers into a story.

I just got caught up with the "Amorous Goods" idea, with memories of the James Stewart /Kim Novak (Gillian) movie in 1958, "Bell, Book, and Candle". I wish I could have weighed in two years ago with the idea of her (Kim Novak) as Vikki.

But I'll settle for Gillian regaining her powers and going to the house looking for an artifact she made in her early days: a pair of anklets. My MC buys an anklet for his wife as a "hot wife" gift for a business trip, not knowing it will turn her into an insatiable slut. Kim/Gillian needs the pair of anklets to break the spell on her friend who was gifted the other half of the pair, separated by Morgana.

Yes. I wish I had a story... Got a Scifi/horror idea for Halloween, but nothing that would fit here.
I hear you. I have a Halloween story and I'm trying to see if it can be shoehorned into Amorous Goods

I don't have a story ready. I do have half an idea, but it refuses to come out and play.

I've never seen Friday the 13th the Series, I was living in North Dakota, a state that makes Western Australia look positively metropolitan. We only had 2 tv stations, if you got cable then that total doubled, but none of our stations carried Friday the 13th (It might have been on the CBC channel, but I couldn't stay awake with that one turned on)

Wikipedia said that there's a human sacrifice involved to make the charms work but I think I'm going to leave that part out

I'm concentrating on the Letters of Love event right now but when that's complete, I can give my only slightly divided attention to this event. I have the outline for my Amorous Goods story ready to flesh out. Pun intended.

Me, too. I’m desperately trying to finish my Summer Lovin’ story, whose characters have proven rather willful, but keep getting distracted with plotting the Amorous Goods tale.

Oh, those plot bunnies! I got summer lovin' done, I got letters of love done, I got AI Era done, I even have my Winter Holidays entry (almost) ready, and all those plot bunnies want to talk about is a third installment of my AI Era story

All RIghty! I submitted one early! I got my Letters of Love story submitted:

My Very Dear Cô Dâu

(Nudges plot bunnies into line)
All right, which one of you guys had the idea for Amorous Goods?

It was jAF0 who first thought of doing this.

30 days till they start posting Amorous goods stories and Halloween stories.

Last year, I also wrote a preview or pre-story, a few weeks before the start of the contest. I ended it with "Another tale of Morgana's younger years. More to come this October with the Amorous Goods Season 02 (2021) Author Challenge. Please vote." https://literotica.com/s/witch-problems-lesbian-triangle

So a person could write one this weekend & then write another one using those same characters for the event. A good way to build reader interest for the event. Of course the best way to build that interest would be to include a link to this years event at the end of the pre-story, https://www.literotica.com/s/amorous-goods-season-03-2022-coming-soon

Wow only 14 days till they start posting more Amorous Goods stories. Where has the last 12 months gone.
