Have you noticed that when you sign on to your AOL account that it takes a lot of time, with the "connection log" indicating that the first two numbers dialed are busy, or not responding?
Well, FYI, it is not a local problem in just your area. Because I travel, any change in AOL service, system wide, is easy to spot.
It is intentional on their part, as were the methods to kick people off line, which were common a short time ago.
You will note that each time you sign on, a screen pops up trying to sell you the AOL "High Speed DSL" service. It is stated in the ad that service will be 50 times faster. One way to drive the point home is to delay your connection, say 50 times slower!
