(OK, this is actually posted in the right place, I thought it wasn't before!)

So, I keep seeing that certain British women seem to have a thing for American men.

Is it a mutual thing? What're your thoughts?

What’s the difference? Besides the accent.

Never really thought about it. I mean, I've met British women I've been really attracted to, but not really because they were British. But the accent does add some intrigue, I suppose, just like my southern drawl seems to add intrigue to certain women who aren't accustomed to it. Something exotic about someone different maybe?

Short answer is I don't think it's a "thing."

Mentality, and there is a subtle culture difference, despite the two countries both being Western and relatively similar countries.

"The English and Americans are two peoples separated by a common language." - George Bernard Shaw

Personally, I dig the accent and the tendency of British (and Irish) girls to be a little plumper.

Posh types tend to be elegant. Working-class Brits seemed to be more common sense, no-nonsense types.

I love the accents and demeanor of British women. Something very enticing about them. ;)

I got a bad one ...

I am in the process of getting divorced from a Brit.
While we had 4 awesome kids together the marriage itself sucked.

We have been seperately for 4 years and as of yesterday the final item to allow a divorce to go through was completed.

Just an all around selfish bitch. Always about money.

Never again.

Sounds like my ex wife but thankfully without the kids

Really depends on personality, attitude and looks. If they align she can be from Timbuktu or Kalamazoo.

I won't try to speak for any other American men but myself--, I love women. I don't care where they are from but I can't really let myself trust any of them ESPECIALLY the ones from this planet anyway. The ones from any other planet I am as yet unsure.

I have only known a few British women very well. They worked for me. I found them to be quite attractive, fun to be with, and sexy when they wanted to be.

Being from UK and lived in the US for a while, i'd say american ladies are more attracted to British Men ;) Special older american women like british men. Its my personal experience.

Brit women

I'm with JBone, my drawl gets some attention, that, and women seem to like being called darlin and honey, etc. with a southern accent.

I had one British beauty, when I was really giving it to her from behind, lettin' the hosses run, so to speak, uttered some powerful exhortations and exultant, lustful words of appreciation.

"Maavalus dahling! Fontastic! Fuck me you beautiful maaan....!

I almost lost my concentration, but it sure was fun and memorable.

Lizzie, I'll never forget you..

About due for another trip back to Ol Blighty

Not Queen Elizabeth?! please god, no!

Being British, I can't see the difference. Women are individuals and that is more important than the country of origin.

I have a fond memory of Australian girls in the early 1960s but almost all of those I knew then are now dead - a function of my age!

There was this Irish-American girl from Boston... also dead.

And a girl pioneer in Communist Yugoslavia; and a German au-pair; a French student; a Swiss nurse; a girl from Hong Kong; an Anglo-Indian from Mumbai; a very curvy limbo dancer from Trinidad...

All of them long gone. :(

Edited for PS:

The girl from Trinidad had a party trick. She had a fabulous and prominent muscular backside emphasied by her tight skirts and wiggle as she walked. She would put her small adult cousin on her backside and walk off with him resting his arms around her waist.

100%. Love the accent.

Welsh women are the ones who interest me. I like their boots, their eyes, their general mannerisms, the way they talk, the way they walk, the way they breathe and the way they call me "love".

My dad and his side of the family were from Liverpool, so maybe that's why the Welsh seem more exotic to me.

I've only met a couple of them that I can remember. Of course, many of them are quite beautiful, and I do like the various accents.

Very true. There are those cultural differences that can make things more interesting, though. Expressions Brits might use that just don't sound quite right coming from an American, for example.
