She's probably "in the field" helping to campaign in some of the close house races.

Or maybe - gasp - she's in her own district kissing babies to make sure she wins her own seat? - OK, probably not.

I believe she is campaigning for other Dems. Her own seat is completely safe. I doubt if there is more than token opposition.

To answer Liar's question, though, Nancy Pelosi is the minority leader in the house, and if the Dems become the majority, she will probably be the speaker. This would make her one of the most powerful people in Washington, and third in line for the presidency.
