Amazon paid $0 on $11 BILLION in profit - how much did YOU Conservitards pay?

No....these deductions come off of their tax owed, not income. But nice try. And they are new deductions.

For amazon...not the people getting the bonus, they still have to pay tax on that bonus.

So yes, and it was a successful try, you just got fucking wrecked.

Just too stupid to realize it. :D

Totally legal. Cant blame Amazon for being prudent. But any money the US cant collect, that in the past they could, must be replaced from somewhere. Guess we will fill that hole...by taxing the middle class more. Lol

Or we could just cull some corruption and clean up our spending habits....so no it doesn't have to be replaced.

Bout fucking time they started paying their fair share.

The working poor need to be next.....we need 37% of of their shit too.

dudly, you're an idiot.

Gross Sales, minus Cost of Goods Sold, minus Expenses, is Net Profit from business operations.

Taxes owed are based on net profits, not gross sales or any other number from any other source.

Tax credits (like losses carried forward, or the earned income credit, or any of the thousands of other tax credits) are direct "adjustments" to taxes owed and are used to reduced taxes owed.

Amazon made a shit ton of money. They also had a shit ton of tax credits they used to offset all the taxes they owed for that profit. It's that simple.

Unless you need to lie about it so you can publish some more fake news that the gullible will swallow.

Really...then if the consumer isn't paying who is?

Outside of direct cash/goods outlay subsidies (welfare that's all on Democrats) I've never seen a business that didn't run and collect 100% of it's money from consumers.

You allegedly ran a small business....where did the money you used to pay all your business expenses come from?
Some guy said that Amazon does pay taxes. I saw it here: http://forum.literotica.com/showpost.php?p=90444963&postcount=430

And where does amazon get all it's money to pay those employees who pay all those taxes, buy all those permits, pay all those property taxes?

Where do any of these top businesses get their money from to pay their taxes???

Apple....McDonalds....Wal Mart.

Small bidnizzez like your local plumber, the hobby/craft/comic shop on the corner, the convenience store, dive bar.....

Where do they get all that money to pay their taxes/expenses??

Your nose phro....think past the end of it.

I know you're struggling to make some kind of point, but the facts are:

Provide a service, receive money for it, pay tax on the money received.

This applies to everyone, employees, sole proprietors and corporations.

Is that clear now?

I aint no tax genius and even I know that the simplistic approach everyone here is taking to corporate taxes and what they do and don't pay is just insanely stupid. Holy cow.

The Federal Reserve banks, duh.

You think the fed just prints money off for those companies?

You think that's how they turn a profit? They just call the fed up for free money???

When they pay their licencing, inspection and permit taxes they just pass that bill onto the Fed ???

You know phro I actually believe you think that.

Receive money from who phro?

Who gives companies money for goods and services so they can pay taxes and hire employees???:D

The Fed right? :D

Clearly I am not a Business man.

I would like to know just what taxes and fees some business like Amazon would pay.

Certainly many millions in payroll taxes, Retirement...Insurance and Shipping.

And how much taxes do the employees pay?

Come on Business people what else?

Just not on income. Meaning...if the govt spends it, and these guys aren't paying any on 11 billion, then it must come from somewhere else. Wanna guess where it is? Seems like a much better guessing game than one that is based on the number of employees

You seem to be having trouble understanding capitalism. Maybe you'd rather be a communist?

I'm not the one who's having trouble and ignoring the question. :D

Receive money from who phro?

Who gives companies profitable amounts of money for goods and services, so they can pay taxes and hire employees who pay taxes???

Where does a companies revenue and profit come from??

Please say the Fed again....:D

Businesses pay taxes. Period. Moron. And you are an idiot for making that argument, so what I look like to you doesn't even matter. It's not personal. It's just a correct observation about your lack of intellect.

If people pay taxes and corporations are people then corporations, being people, pay taxes. Your chronic lack of logical thinking and addiction to right wing talking points notwithstanding.

Now, chickenshit... what did you pay in taxes, compared to Amazon?

How do they pay taxes LT?

They raise prices to cover the tax.

Or, are you one of those who believe that they just take it out of their profit?

People, you are correct, do pay taxes (well, maybe not you) and they pay them in one of two ways, either directly, which governments are loath to do, or indirectly by allowing business to collect the taxes for them so that they do not wake up and realize what their true tax burden is.

I guess Phro just doesn't understand a companies profits don't come from a Federal Reserve cash request but the consumers of their goods and services.

Capitalism is hard for the handicapable. :(

I’m glad to see that you finally figured it out on your own. Google or Bing?

I’m glad to see that you finally figured it out on your own.

I wasn't the one suggesting companies profit and cover their expenses by calling up the Federal Reserve for more money.
The Federal Reserve banks, duh.

Or that companies get their money from somewhere other than consumers.

In an attempt to avoid answering the question you couldn't answer.....

Google or Bing?

Real life hustle.

I figured out at about 13-14 years old that my consumers pay ALL the expenses of the company.....including the taxes. ;)

Wow, you must think corporations are Gods, and they shouldn't have to contribute to society the way everyone else does.

Nice to know who you worship.

Also, not that you have the balls to answer me... how much did you pay in income taxes? Obviously more than Amazon.

LOL all you right wingers are terrified to answer how much you paid in income taxes.

Because you know you paid more than Amazon, you fucking dupes.

Is income the only tax metric?

I note that you refuse to go anywhere near the true tax bill paid.
Calling people names does not make you right
(and it doesn't win elections,
ask Hillary).

Nope. They are merely away for Capital to be pooled in order to provide goods and services to the people and this is the contribution that they make to our lives. Without their existence, life would be far less pleasant and more dependent upon the whims of the political ruling class.

Ask your North Korean friends about having all Capital vested in the capitol.

That's because most of us have enough intelligence to know that companies don't pay taxes, they collect them.

But thanks for making this thread where you demonstrate you don't know shit about business or taxes. :D
