I'm certain this has been threaded and thrashed before but hey - I'm new - sue me.

The amazing (to me) truth.

Taking a look at the "favorite stories board" or whatever it may be called - I couldn't help notice that nearly all the top stories involve incest. Only a very few don't. Obviously the voters, those who actually vote, the majority of them - like incest.

That or voters on boards such as these - as opposed to those who don't vote on erotic stories or vote on them at other websites - tend to favor incest.

But my hunch is - that most erotphiles who like to get their sexual kicks from the written medium and thus find their way here - crave incest.

Incest, something that doesn't go down to well, and rightly so.

I have to admit though that I read incest stories (so sue me) but not with incest in mind, you see I have no problem with people ROLE PLAYING with the idea of incest, that's fine (again sue me), it's a fantasy to some people, and that is what gets me horny, the fantasy, I vote on stories, I read them and enjoy them so I vote.

Now I also vote on Erotic coupling stories, Romance, on and on, Incest to me in story form is fine, just don't do it in real life, THAT I don't agree with.

Now as far as two adults Role playing out a situation, ie: Daddy/Little Girl ... Mummy/son and so on, that's fine, it is just a fantasy. I'm sure some of you would be shocked to know just how many people do it. How many people get pleasure from it. I love the Daddy/Little girl stories, and I know why, just don't wish to share it with all of you.

As far as Incest in the real world, like I said earlier NO FUCKING WAY. I would kill someone if they tried it, with me or my son.

Incest is just another form of writing and I'm sure that in most cases, the stories written arn't from fact, just from thoughts swimming around writers heads.

You know what? It has nothing to do with brothers and sisters fucking. It has to do with conflict. Family members aren't supposed to screw, so in the stories they resist and resist until they finally give in. If more straight sex stories were told with conflict (as opposed to "Hi! I'm the new mailman. Wanna fuck?" "Okay, sure!") more people would read them.

Incest stories come with a built in conflict and tension, and that's why they're popular.

I do not advocate real life incest, but in the same breath I have roleplayed incest on chat rooms and IM. I think real life incest can scar a child for life, whter it be blood related or through marriage.

Does a child through marriage only become incest, i belive in my mind it does because one does assunme the role of parent and one of child.

But then again I was abused in such a manner my my mother when i didnt really now any better, i just found out about it in this last month that my mother had done this with me in my preteen years, so basically i am screwed up now for a little while getting myself together.

Incest in real life is BAD! Incest in fantasy I find sick, though I can understand why other people like it, but only in fantasy. Having witnessed what incest can do to a family I cannot believe that someone would take it seriously.

I think just about any fantasy is fine, even if it's taboo, illegal or dangerous in real life, as long as it stays a fantasy. That's the whole point of fantasy, isn't it? To "live out" what we can't actually live out?

Bobtoad, you're not just talking about incest, you're talking about molestation and child abuse, which is on a whole other lever of awfulness. Of course that's wrong. A child should never EVER be used sexually.

I think the stories Sparky is referring to involve consenting adults who happen to be related, be it siblings, mother/father and their adult children or any other combination of family.

Incest is taboo, and taboos are great fodder for fantasy. I I believe in most cases it is nothing more than fantasy for both reader and writer. And I also agree with Dixon that incest stories tend to be more interesting because of the built-in conflict and tension.

The fantasy stuff I guess I can buy - a little - although role playing seems so juvey to me. Silly, I'd always laugh breaking role. Fact is - screwing my mother or sister just doesn't get my pecker up. Maybe if I had a really hot half sister or something - or cousin, all of a sudden fall into my life - maybe. But, even in fantasy - if you're the type to really get off on "fucking a fellow family member." Well, you deserve medical, mental health treatment at best or a bullet in the forehead at worst.
