Have you ever gone to look up a recent (like a day or two old) thread, and found that it's completely missing--with no explanation?

Is this because of the new system update? Should it be happening? Is there a reason the thread would have been entirely deleted with no explanation?

I'm so confused.

The answer to WHICH question????

Small, simple words. Short declarative sentences. Help me out here, I've only slep 6 hours in the last 2 days.

But, where did the bombing and the media thread from Sunday go?

yeah

Yep

I thought I was one or more of the following...

a) Going mad
b) Not looking properly
and
c) Looking in the wrong forum.

Is the thread on BBW still about or is this one of the ones that's disappeared.

(edit)

I've found it ! Silly me !

Just accept it. It's easier that way. :) How else do you think I've kept my sanity?

*frantically searches her magnetic plastic alphabet still sticking to the refridgerator*

*finds a "T"*

*tosses it to Risia before Cym can finish flipping those pages*

*rushes back out before she is seen*

When that happens to me I blame it on that damn 650th acid hit.
Everything went downhill after that.

~snickering~ You're funny, babes! Risia ought to be glad she's got you around to help her spell when she's too tired to find the "T" on her keyboard... or never noticed it was missing in the first place... or doesn't give a flying fuck about the stinkin "T". :D

CYM, CYM, CYM, HURRY....HURRY....HURRY

QUICK!! Get to this thread as fast as you can.

SCROLL!! Get down to Wizard's post on that thread.

GASP!! Oh yes, there it is.

RUB YOUR EYES!! Can you believe it?

There in that seemingly innocent post is proof that Risia truly wasn't too lazy to find that damn "T". He stole it from her. See that extra "T" at the end of the third word? Bet, he thought he could just slip that by you without anyone ever seeing it.

Whew! Glad that mystery is solved. Now what will I do to amuse myself?

Can you people keep it down, I'm trying to concentrate on RisiaSkye's av...Now where was I? Oh yea...

Alright, smartasses

I found the "t." Damn you're picky, cym. I'm hardly the worst offender when it comes to un-fixed typos. Sheesh. Besides, I was accessing the site from work. The university might frown on that, so I wanted to get out quickly :D

Though, if you really wanna get nitpicky--you should have been able to find "slep" in your OED, as it was a common past-tense for sleep in Middle English, slightly post-Chaucer.

Feel free to start muttering about Literature folks again now.

Thanks, Kymberley for the effort to save me.

miles--our avs would look pretty hot together, eh? Add xlc, and this is starting to look muy promising.

Spanglish--it's what for dinner.

Feh. Still don't know what happened to the thread I was looking for, and I'm still way under miles' 650 acid hits--I think I've stabilized permanently at 4. That shit is no damn fun.

What thread was it RisiaSkye? I'd be happy to find it for you..

Never

It was a thread started by Oliver Clozoff (I think) about the first bombing raid on Afghanistan. It ran for at least a full day, and had 60 or so posts, many of them (at least from me and Oliver) quite long, on the topic of war and cycles of violence.

If you find it, you will earn my entirely useless but well intentioned devotion. :)

Holy @%#$

You're right, Risia! The thread is nowhere to be found. If anybody more computer-saavy than me could find it, I'd appreciate it too. It's called "We're Bombing Kabul" and it was started on Sunday (10/7). Mucho thanks in advance.

But just in case it's gone forever, Risia, we could always start it over from scratch:

you see, not all war is...

;)
