Am I the only person on the BB that types with 2 fingers???

I must admit that one unexpected benifit from this BB has been that I have learned how to type pretty fast, with 2 fingers. I marvel at how quickly some of you can compose long threads/posts while I peck away. Sometimes, I find that when I am responding to a thread, 2-3 other posts are entered before I can reply.
I wish I had taken a typing class in high school.

I have thoughts about writing my memoirs, one day. Thankfully, they have developed computer programs that translate the oral word into print. Here,though, it seems that I will remain a 2 finger, hunt & peck, typist.

I type over 100wpm - I did take that typing class in high school. And actually you can do so right on your computer if you want - there are at least a couple of teach yourself to type programs on the market.

last time I was tested I was typing 80 words a minute. It has probably gone up since then though!! I have a copy of Mavis Beacon if you are Interested its all yours!

I actually passed an exam for typing, yet I still only type with one finger. I just feel more comfortable doing it that way, and I'm pretty fast, although I don't know how many words a minute. I suppose I'm being lasy, but hell who really cares.

I can touch type, but I seem to make more mistakes when I do that, so I don't bother.

my left hand is damn near worthless,,, in fact if I had a broken right hand or arm,,, I doubt very seriously that I would be able to work my pants zipper to use the bathroom,,,

I type with both ahnds, actually use only four fingers...I can type fast with 90% typos...good thing for spell checker..

In my prime, I could type about 120 wpm.

Now it is somewhere around 80 wpm, and I don't care quite so much about accuracy, either.

It is better to use two fingers than ten toes, which I fear some people use in some of the chatrooms.

I learned to type in high school. My seat mate was a good looking honey that I was trying to get to go out with me. She had her own typewriter at home and invited me over to practice with her. We practiced a lot. Today I can type pretty fast even restricted to one hand when the other is busy....

Yeah...don't sell yourself short, daddy. You're forgetting to tell them how good you are when you're typing with one hand because you have a glass of skyy vodka in the other.

I can vanish coins, cut a deck with one hand and have enough pantomime skills to enter the Kabuki Theatre, but for the life of me I can't type faster than maybe 25WPM.

It's not so much the dexterity, I think, it's really that I'm constantly editing myself as I write, so I'm forever thinking either ahead two line or back two lines, and never concentrating enough on the actual God-damned line I'm typing.

I took typing in high school, using a manual typewriter because my school only had 5 electrics. I can still type about 90 WPM, which is good because my handwriting is very difficult for people to read, it is very neat, just slants in a weird direction. I type just about everything, then sign it.

Back when I went to secondary school I was given the choice of taking office skill's class but I thought that as only girl's took that class I'd get called gay or queer by the other lads so I said no thank you and took film studies instead, that's how come I can only type at 15 words a minute and can only use two finger's, I think about it now and I can see what an asshole I was and how I got everything I deserved.

Well Blue,I'll have to tell ya,I'm a 1 finger man myself.

I can probably do 25 words a minute if it's words like,"IS,THE,IF,AND,IT,A,and TO.

But if they have more than 3 letters to them,than I'm FUCKED!

I type with everything except my little fingers, which poke out all over the place and look queer.

It's kind of self preservation really. If I type then (a) other people can read it and (b) I can usually run a spell check over it. Without htese two my written communication would be like trying to decipher hyrogliphics.
