Hi, All,

Am I imagining it or is there less reader feedback these days?

I posted the final part of 'Like Father Like Son' and although I seem to be getting the average number of readers, I only received two feedback e-mails, which is definitely way down on average for this story.

One of those from an anonymous moron who was confused by using the sub title 'The Bore War' for the period between September 1939 and April 1940. He insisted it was a spelling mistake for the 'Boer War.'

Anyway, just wondering if there is general decline in feedback or whether my avid readers have heaped enough praise on me :)

I can't say. I never generate that much feedback, maybe 4-5 pieces per story is about it. I don't know if that's good or bad.

I know what you mean, when I first started out posting here in lit I used to get at least 15 feebacks a day or so now it's only down to about 7. Even less when I don't do any recent stories. Who knows maybe people are out celebrating the holidays? *s*

how long has it been between story postings?

I always get at leas 75 pieces of feed back within the first fer days followed by 10-15 a day after the first 7 days followed by around 7 a day after the stories been up for more than 3-4 weeks. The reason I think I get so much FB is because I save email addys when provided and I send an email each time I have a new story. This lets my "Fans" know about the story in addition to any new readers.

Soe of the readers have said that they are glad I've contacted them because they read me a while back but forgot my username and the story or some just want top be emailed on certain series (The Bitch being the most popular right now.) I suggest you do the same, if the reader didn't want to be contacted at least once they wouldn't share their email addy.
