The equivalent of the American illegals situation over here is the Philipino situation.
Most Philipinos over here have finesse; they all attended Middle and High school, even if they dropped out earlier. But a % of them are from very remote, poor islands with no running water, no ammenities and with atrocious, primitive education opportunities. It's hard for such a person to ever close the gap later in life.
It's starting to emerge that quite a few private businesses prefer the latter not only over native-born Australians, but also over all other immigrants -Philipinos included-. These poorly educated islanders would put up with anything, because:
a. they are desperate not to go back b. they don't know their rights.
Do you, as Americans like seeing blue-collar Americans or immigrants lose their livelihoods to a scheme that brings in the least educated, most exploitable South Americans?
