Alternatives?

I'm just curious if they're healthy.

We know there are some level of helpers. At least one boardie let it slip they they are, or used to be on a paid staff. Is that who is approving stories?

Neither L or M have responded to inquires here or any where else that I know of since early August.
Both Emily and I had short interactions with Laurel in late August. That is the latest anyone has reported. The increased pending problem started somewhere in early September.
The Lit account on X/Twitter made some reposts on September 20.
I don't follow them on social media -- I have sworn off social media, other than AH -- but by reports both bsky and Xitter seems to have dropped off in the second half of September. I take that to mean that things in some way got worse as the month progressed.

That said, today has the most new stories to appear in some time, 60% more than the previous week had averaged. That may be a sign for hope. Let's hope so.

And then there's Post 201.
There is still at least one human still in the control room. We have a handful of examples of that.

I had missed LC68's note. That moves the last known contact a few days later (my message from her was 8/29)

I’ve heard some authors mention Lush or other sites, but in my opinion, Xnxx has a strong readership and a solid history of producing good stories. The downside is that you have to jump through hoops to publish there, and I still haven’t figured out how to access my account.
I used to publish at xnxx/sexstories(.)com. The community there got super-toxic in 2020-2021. Long time authors with consistent high ratings started getting excessively 1-bombed, dropping their ratings as much as 10-15%. The only stories that could get above a 90% rating were “I made my mother my sex slave and turned all my female relatives into whores for my giant dick.”
MYPENNAME3000 was super popular and highly regarded. 🙄
I was beta-reading for an author that gave up and stopped writing because his stuff was getting trashed. He had written a transgender story that was as good as anything ShelbyDawn writes, but longer and more nuanced.
That was when I ended up here. I was so fed up with the community there I didn’t write anything for publication for almost three years.

Oh! I love the stories of MYPENNAME3000, and he's one the most prolific erotica authors I've ever come across. He has so many stories that you get lost in his story directory sometimes. I also love Stevestrong, Rebelman, and RandyMacanus. They really get your dick hard very fast and leave such an impression afterwards that you keep thinking about their stories years after you've read them. I can't say the same for most stories on Lit. Stories on Lit, to my mind, are more intellectual and poetic, rather than having the raw energy that most stories on Xnxxx possess.

I publish on Lit and AO3. The latter is free, you just have a short waiting period before full access after signing up. You can also edit your stories freely and lock the comments so only what you approve is posted. There’s also a more expansive tag system. It’s primarily a fanfics site, most of the interest is in that. But they accept original stuff too, and I have posted all but my How To stuff there. A few of my stories have earned more positive reviews on AO3 than Lit, some vice versa. One drawback is there aren’t as good forums there. So less potential interaction with other authors and fans. I’m not planning on dumping either site as long as I keep writing.

I saw on Blue Sky that some folks write on Medium. It's a bitch, but Inkitt takes erotica. They claim to have few rules.
