Alternate words for “slut”

There’s a thread currently in fetish and sexuality, “when did you become a slut”, https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1554209

I started asking this in that thread (not for a story, just trying to come up with one), then decided to go more cerebral and ask here.

So, just as “geek” changed meanings (generally speaking) from an insult to a point of pride whereas “nerd” did not, is there an alternate word for “slut.” Hmm. “Uninhibited” is accurate but too long. “Eager beaver” is two words. “In touch with (one’s) sexuality”, again too many words. “Sensual” is too ‘massage with hot stones’ and such (which is fine), but we’re talking about fucking. I always shake my head chuckle at “Sperm receptacle” because it’s just so outrageously awful, but clearly that’s even more insulting than slut.

It’s a tough one, fraught with peril too, since it’s so skewed into negative sexism. So with focus on finding a good word, any thoughts?

I came up with sexpot, tart, and wench, since they seem (US) to generally be said with a humorous tone. None of them seem just right though, for US answers. (And by no means is this intended just for US English either. )

Ideas?

My (English) husband seems to use 'trollop', 'floozy', 'slag', 'strumpet', 'slapper', 'doxy', 'bike', and 'scrubber' interchangeably and synonymously with 'slut', but I suspect that's purely an 'English-in-England' colloquial slant and wouldn't work in an international setting, as they seem to have comedic connotations in the US (at least, my friends back home always laugh when he uses any of them)

What is the context for wanting to replace it? What, exactly, is the way that you want to use the word? Why do you want to replace it?

In my opinion. there is no good all-around substitute for "slut." In the context of a wife, you could use the term "hot wife," but that term doesn't have the same general applicability that "slut" does.

"Tramp" and "whore" are similar, but they're not quite as good or general, and they're both terms of disparagement, as well, so they're not improvements, if your reason for replacing "slut" is to find a word that you think is less offensive.

"Slut" has long been a term of derision, but that's changed somewhat in erotica and in our sexual culture, generally. There's been a trend toward reclaiming the word as a description of a woman who is sex-positive and not afraid to say so. I can't think of another word that captures the same meaning. The other advantage of "slut," like "cunt" and "fuck," is that it's a short, punchy word that captures the meaning more pithily than substitutes. Some people are squeamish about these words, but I think it's that very quality of taboo and edginess and transgressiveness that makes them fun to use. "Slut" is a good word to use in a story title, as well. It may turn off some people, but because of its naughty quality it will appeal to more people than it will turn off.

I'm fond of "libertine". For a more technical term, "non-monogamous" can work, but that's longer than "uninhibited".

Not sure if it applies exactly, but skank comes to mind, although sometimes that's used more in the case of sleazy and at times dirty type of woman "bar fly" sort.

Or, as my wife once said another term for slut could be "woman who acts like a man, except its never derogatory for men to do it"

I should drop that in a LW story for them to squeal over.

Nah, leaving it here is fine, we have them here, and over time I've managed to badger them into proving it.

When we used to go up the Electric in Camden High Street we used to describe that as skank-hunting (think Madonna, Amy Winehouse), but it was soooo much cheaper than going down the West End.

And which one complains about an LW story more...

Bar Fly goes back a few generations.. so does Strumpet...

My new favorite foursome fantasy involves a floozy, a trollop, and a strumpet.

I like libertine, but the three other people outside of AH who know the word isn’t quite enough. It comes with a sense of choosing to be the way they are, which is good (for the word search)

But this is challenging. We’re not going to solve the history of the world’s injustices here, but think of (audience dependent) being a stud? It’s admired, a good thing, he’s been with 10,000 women.

I know lesbians use that term, but in a different context. Where’s the general population word for the female equivalent of stud, without the negative connotations?

I'm absolutely thrilled that women are reclaiming "slut" and using it to represent sex positivety.

I'm a self professed GEEK, and proud of it. That word can no longer hurt me like it did back in high school.

As for alternatives: I still associate "whore" with a woman who has sex for money or ulterior motives.

"Women unchained from the shackles of a repressive male dominated society " is probably too long, eh?

Maybe it needs an acronym lol.

"You're a hooker? Jesus, I forgot! I just thought I was doing GREAT with you!!" Arthur from Arthur.

Edited to correct the quote.

Slutty geeky women with butt plugs. Ah yes, wrote that already.

Nerd/geek in the 80's when I went to High school was a derogatory term.

I was a paradox back then. Loved comics, Dungeons and Dragons, reading, and at one point I did wear glasses.

But I also played sports, had a motorcycle, and was suspended for three days for pounding the shit out of the jock who called me a nerd.

I should have coined the term Punk-Nerd.

“Wuftsoarmds”

“wufties” for short? Not bad! Maybe we do have to make our own. :)
