Alright. I figured out what's wrong

Simple. My SpeedTec trial has expired, restoring original setting. I tried an older version of SpeedTec, but it won't let me set upTTL, NDI, etc. I downloaded another installer from SpeedTec website, but no go. My trial period has been expiered.

I restored the setting of Speednet which is nowhere close to SpeedTec in performance.

One strange thing though. Neither the older version of SpeedTec nor Speednet can set up MTU value. They used to work fine before. (I know this because I can view the setting using Befast-it won't let me change a thing, though)

My question is this. Does the absence of MTU value affect connection performance (Who has been messing with it!)?

Does anyone know of a free(preferably non-trial) program I can use instead?

I'm too emotionally exausted and upset right now to do a search myself. *sigh*

Umm what is Speedtec?

I might have an idea if I knew what you were talking bout.

Then, you might not want to take my advice because I am so clueless!

:D

CV knows what he's on about...

i doubt the group he's in is intodouble figures :D

I FlashGet listed several programs.

I've downloaded MSpeed. Although it does not do speed less than 56k, the set up seems working ok.

No NDI nor keep session alive set up capability, but it's freeware, so can't complain.

Will try downloading and trying out others one by one later on.

If anyone know a particularly superb free program, I'd appriciate the advice.

Now, I gotta go and cook some food.

Later,

me
