Erika known more as Rika
252 months, just turned as it so happened

From the second Rika was born she was hated. A product of a drunken night with a close family friend. Where most would view the child innocent from the deeds of the child, for some reason Rika was held at fault and it was a trend that continued all her life. Especially when it came to her older sister Caitlin.

Instead of shrinking and wilting under the shadow of her perfect sister, Rika forged her own path and became a rebel, a trouble maker and the perfected black sheep. Where Caitlin was all rainbows, butterflies and sugar, Rika was mist, ravens and spice. Where her sister learned ballet and the piano, Rika took up the bagpipes and judo. She went her whole life making sure no one would mistake her for her sister in any respect.

When Rika turned twelve Caitlin graduated high school with a full ride to some ivy league school, all Rika cared about was that she would have the house to herself and maybe there would be less 'if you were like your sister', but as fate would have it the classic saying that distance makes the heart grow fonder rang true and there wasn't a day that went by that Rika didn't hear her sister's name or some backhanded comment comparing the two. Not even six months later and Rika had moved in with her father.

Life smoothed. Her Pa, Duncan, was just like her too much fire in the soul. It was one of the reasons he had become a firefighter and a life that had previously been all rules and structure for Rika was loosened and she bloomed organically as the person that she wanted to be and not the person she felt she had be lest like.

Rika was still a handful but by the time she graduated high school she was her own person and it surprised no one at the station that she didn't continue on to college despite her good grades and multiple college offers. Instead she retrofitted a station camper, dubbed the Time Machine, as a microhouse with the help of her station family and took off on the road to spread her wings and fly. Touching base to visit with her mother, when she knew her sister was out of town and Pa when the mood striked.

Now twenty one she was back home, in her old room with the Time Machine sold and a new future ahead of her.

Loves: family dinners at the station, campfires and crickets, the smell of old books and leather, coffee, long baths in too hot water, secrets and tattoos
Likes: towels fresh out of the dryer, origami, naps, cats
Dislikes: showers, touching bubble wrap, brushing her hair and her sister
Hates: toe socks, lies and rumors, people who don't use their blinkers, make up and her sister

Bill Anderson
32 years old.

Bill was always a student who got decent grades, but never truly excelled. That was, until he graduated high school and got into college. He was an athlete, playing basketball throughout high school, and basketball is what helped him get into college. While playing basketball, he decided to get a degree in education. He liked the idea of teaching, and that was where he found his calling.

Once finishing his undergraduate, he went back to school to get his masters. His basketball playing days behind him, he know focused on his future. While going to classes to get his masters degree, he met Caitlin. She was everything he ever could have imagined, kind, smart, driven, goal-oriented, and beautiful. Caitlin and Bill hit it off and were quickly dating. It was something Bill was not looking for, as he was focused on finishing off his degree.

Once he finished his masters degree, he began looking for jobs. Caitlin pushed him to look into colleges, and even brought up the idea of getting into coaching the sport that got him into college in the first place. He was lucky and found an assistant coaching position at a local university near Caitlin's hometown. He would also be responsible for teaching some college courses while assisting the basketball team.

It was not his dream job, but it paid well and was a step in the right direction. It helped to have Caitlin by his side, even though she was working at the local hospital, being a head nurse on a floor.

The two of them bought a nice house in a family neighborhood, not too far from Caitlin's mothers house. Everything seemed to be headed in the right direction for Bill, and he looked forward to starting a family with Caitlin. The engagement was the next obvious step, and it just brought the two of them closer to their lives together.

Bill, found himself out at a bar with his fellow coaches. Caitlin was working late and the coaches at the college wanted to get together to discuss some recruiting and other things for the upcoming season. As he sat at the table at the busy bar, he looked around. This used to be his scene in college. Playing basketball, he was with the guys a lot, out at the bar and getting into trouble.

He walked up to the bar, wearing a pair of khaki casual pants, with a belt, boxers under, and a polo t-shirt of the local college he worked at. He looked almost business casual for his meeting. He leaned against the bar, waiting for the bartender to come get his drink order.

"Hey Pup, how's it feel to be back?"

Rika closed her closet door, finally finished with unpacking when she heard her father's voice. "Like nothing has changed." She smiled pointedly eyeing a half empty water bottle from years ago. Which it was true enough that she had been home every month or so, this was the first time she would be sleeping in her childhood bed. "I mean you didn't even try to read any of my journals while I was gone." She teased picking up the aged water bottle.

Duncan chuffed and shrugged. "You've been blessed with a wonderful father who respects his daughter's privacy."

"Riiiight-" Rolling her eyes she brushed past her father and headed upstairs. "So any plans for tonight?" It was a happening thursday evening and there were maybe three or four things to do in the city but know there was only ever going to be one answer.

"Hooks." They said in unison without pause.

"You riding with?"

Memories flooded at the offer and Rika smiled fondly. "Nah, I have a license now and a car of my own." There was also the fact that she was still wearing her worn sweats and ratty tanktop and where that would have been a look she would have proudly worn into Hooks, she was a grown woman and wouldn't be the adopted sister/child that gave her allowance to be in the bar in the first place.

"Hmm, see you there." Duncan mumbled darting to sprint up the stairs before Rika.

"Here."

The water bottle flew up the stairway narrowly missing her father's head. "Throw that away for me?" Rika asked not giving him a true chance to disagree as she retreated back into her room to get dressed. Not having much Rika dipped into her high school wardrobe and fished out a pair of black knee high boots she hadn't ever had the chance to wear, high waisted zipper shorts that she pulled out of her duffle bag and a while flowy crop top that had a built in shelf bar but nothing else let alone allowing space for a bra without showing hard line under the fabric. A touch of black eyeliner and she was on her way to Hooks.

Hooks never changed it was the same old good food, good drinks, local fireman approved hang out spot that over time had gained a following with the near by college and the associated flock. The other thing that was obvious was that even on a thursday it was understaffed.

"Still as cheap as ever I see." Rika greeted hugging Sten, the owner and only person behind the bar. "When are you ever going to find good help." She further teased nodding to her father and his gathered friends, who quickly rushed the bar to scoop Rika up into a group hug, much to the dismay of a young lady she was trying to get an order from.

The six men were all her father's age but acted like puppies when you first got home, shouting over each other, pushing and laughing. For a moment it was pure delightful chaos of happiness and Sten let it pass for a whole minute before racking his knuckles on the bar top to cool the group.

Warmth blossomed in her chest as it always did at the show of love and caring that her station family showered her with. At time it was overwhelming but it was always from a place of pure love and Rika blinked back the tingle of tears. "You realize that just because I'm behind that bar doesn't mean I can get you free drinks." Sten taught her well and as her stand in grandfather she had always strived to do him proud. "Now, unless you all are planning on helping out and doing some dishes...." She let the threat hang and slowing the group returned to their tables in the corner but not before she promised a few times over to make her way over there sooner rather then later.

Turning back to the bar Rika wrinkled her nose, the lady she had been meaning to help was gone and in her place was a man in khaki pants and a college shirt on.

"Hey there coach, what can I do you for?" Rika asked sweetly, tucking a bar rag into her back pocket and leaning towards the unknown man waiting for an answer.

Hooks was the type of bar that was always packed. The crowd was diverse, as many people in the town loved the little place. Bill learned of it when Caitlin and he moved to her hometown. Him getting a job at the local college was a blessing, but he quickly learned about Hooks through his co-workers and the students at the college. Being on the basketball staff, it was a favorite place of the coaches to go. It was their meeting place to go over things and also where they went to celebrate wins or discuss losses.

Bill enjoyed Hooks because it reminded him of the bars he used to go to in college. Back then, he had some growing up to do. He remembered going out to the local college hang outs with his basketball teammates. If he was honest, even when he first met Caitlin he would still go out with his teammates. Back in his younger days he was way more wild. It was a time in his life that he was not completely proud of, but he knew it helped him grow into the responsible adult he was now. At times Bill was shocked that Caitlin stuck with him. He never "cheated" on Caitlin when they were dating, but he sure wasn't one to turn down some flirting. There were also times when he got "close" to going through with the cheating, but that was when he was younger.

As he stood at the bar waiting for the bartender he watched the young woman move around. She was busy, which was typical at Hooks, they never had enough help. As she turned to look at him he smiled. If he was honest, she was gorgeous, he thought to himself. She is going to make a killing here, he thought as she asked him for his order. "Hi, yes..... can I get three beers and a whiskey ginger please...." he said smiling at the younger woman. "New here?," he asked as she turned to start the order. It was not an overly complicated order, but he was always one to spark up a conversation with the bartenders at Hooks.

As he stood there, he knew for a fact if he was still in college he would enjoy flirting with this bartender. She had a look, maybe it was her red hair or her incredible body, but something about her just got Bill's mind wandering. He knew that he would not be the only guy thinking it. Most of the men in this bar would love for a chance to be with her, he was sure of it.

"So, I am guessing the outfit gave away that I am a coach," he grinned as she returned with the drinks. He felt his eyes looking her over as he listened for how much he owed her. "Do you go to State?," he asked, wondering if she was a student or just a local girl that got a job at the bar. She looked to be of college age, but he could be wrong, maybe she was older.

Rika nodded her conformation of his order and quickly spun around to gather what she needed, glass softly clinking as she lined the drinks up.

"Me, new?" She chuckled. "In a way yes but also no." Her reply was vague and mysterious, it was the way she liked to keep it with the clients that didn't already know her.

Rika nodded giving the man a obvious look from head to toe. "The only thing that didn't peg you as the professor was the lack of pleated darts in your pants." She teased giving him the total. "In fact I am." She stated proudly, saying it out loud in front of a stranger for the first time. "Late admittance, I start tomorrow." To her it seemed pointless to start Friday only to have the weekend off but she was already behind and knew that getting caught wouldn't be difficult but would take some time the the full course load that she had signed up for herself.

"Let me help you with these." Rika offered skipping out from behind the bar to gather up two of the four drinks and waiting for the man to lead the way.

Bill smiled as she told him she was new in a way. He nodded, "so I am guessing grew up here and now back in town?" Hr noticed how vague she was and figured she was trying not to give too much information to him. He couldn't blame her, he was a stranger, older and had his engagement band on his finger.

He laughed at her comment about pegging him right away. "Well, I teach a few classes, but I am an assistant on the basketball team, hopefully head coach some day....." Bill jokes with the bartender. As she cheered up about being a late admittance to the college he smiles. "Well congratulations! What are you there to study? I love State, it really is a great place...." he admits excitedly.

As Rika offers to help, he smiles, "wow talented bartender and a sweetheart? That doesn't happen often...." he jokes as he grabs the other two drinks. He leads the way to the table of three other coaches. As they approach, all three immediately begin to check Rika out.

"Here you go guys, got a nice bartender to help carry them over..... they all have the beer, I am the whiskey ginger...." he says smiling. A few of the coaches openly gawk at Rika. As Bill turns back to her, he feels his eyes look her over. Her shorts show off her nice long legs and are tight around her very nice backside. Her crop top shows off her thin mid-drift and her large chest, much bigger then his fiancés. Finally her full lips and red hair definitely make her the type of woman men fantasize about.

"I never got your name...." Bill says to her. "I am Bill, its nice to meet you..... and how much do I owe you?"

"Born and raised until the wind filled my sails and I drifted to where it lead me." There was some sadness and pain in the comment but she quickly schooled her features and pushed the emotions away. It wasn't like her to feel during conversations with strangers but this was new to her, being home and starting this new and improved her. Maybe she was the sort to be more intune with her emotions but as much as she was willing to diver deeper into that thought, this wasn't the place or time.

Rika was impressed, the sport types often kept to their own little words, that he also taught some classes spoke a lot about him and she wondered if he knew that or not. "Why thank you." Rika blushed touched that a stranger would express any sort of, anything really with such genuine sincerity. "I got accepted into their Veterinary Medicine program. I have to take a few required classes first but I'm hoping to test out of those but the school requires me to keep the class for six weeks so... yeah." She ran her fingers through her nervously, caught off guard but just how talkative and free with information she was being.

When Rika had received her acceptance letter, which she hadn't at all expected to receive, she wanted to brag to everyone. Not only was State a top tree D.V.M. college but she was given a 80/20 scholarship. However there weren't too many people that she kept in her live that were permanent pieces so the most she had done was mention it in passing to her father still anxious that it would somehow get back to her mother and it would be twisted and used against her in some way. "Yeah it's a kickass school, plus it helps that it's home." Rika felt pride and sudden;y could see herself being one of those people who wears their school's colors and logo on a hoodie or something.

"Sweetheart," Rika scoffs. "That's just because you don't know me." She growls before breaking into to a wide smile. "I'm a hellcat and proud of it." She nods enthusiastically. "But you are right, women of my calibur are a thing of legend." Sighing she nudges her elbow into his arm playfully.

Following his lead Rika scouted ahead and noticed three other men similarly dressed and noticed the looks in their eyes instantly. Automatacilly she subtly shifts her weight as she walks adding a sway to her hips just there enough to be noiticed but not enough to be obvious. Her guard also returned, a guard she hadn't realized had even left and chalked it up to the innocent ringed man. Sure he had looked her over but when he had been talking to her it had been to her face, making polite eye contact and hadn't even once made a move to proposition her. It was a fresh change to things when she talked to men.

Rika placed a beer in front of each man, smiling at them as she neared. "So is this a normal gathering or have I stumbled upon a strategy meeting to discuss ways to dominate over your target?" She mused smiling wickedly as she added a bit of twang to one particular word. Dazzle with desire was her go to and her fall back in any and all situations, these other men weren't any different for her and she posed making sure to roll her shoulders back to present to best angle chest up.

"Rika," She sang. "Charmed and pleasured Bill." Rika all but purred making eye contact with him. "First round is on me." She winked to the other men. "It's always good to have friends on the faculty board." With that she withdrew back to the bar, noticing a que that she quickly assisted with.

Bill watches as Rika begins to put the beers in front of each coach. As she asked if this was a normal gathering one of the coaches who had been eyeing her, Jeff, smiled. "We meet here often, so I guess you will be seeing more of us." Another coach, Chad, was looking Rika over as he added, "Yeah, we may end up being your best customers."

Bill laughed, watching the other coaches, all married, fall over themselves to talk to the new bartender. However, he also watched as Rika posed, pushing her incredible chest out a bet, giving the married men something to look at. Bill thought, this girl was a new bartender, but she already knew how to go about getting a good tip from men.

As she finished up putting the beer down, Bill asked her what her name was and what he owed her. As she answer he smiled, "Nice to meet you Rika..... thank you so much for your help." As she informed him the first round is on her, he grinned, "Well, then I guess I will have to come back to purchase more rounds later.... thank you again." As she turned and made the comment about friends in the faculty, he laughed. He watched as she walked off, noticing her hips sway in her tight shorts as he sat down.

Immediately, the other coaches stopped talking basketball and began talking about the new waitress. "God..... she was incredible..." said Chad. "I bet she knows how to use that body of hers....." responded Jeff. The other coach, Matt, smiled, "she seemed to have a thing for good old Bill there..... maybe he should hold off on that engagement." All the men laughed as they began to finish up their planning. Hooks was getting busier and Bill got up one more time to purchase another round. Rika was busy, so their conversations were short but he made note to stop up before he left.

It was getting closer to midnight and the other coaches decided to call it a night. Bill himself knew he should get home soon, even though Caitlin was working late at the hospital tonight. He stood up, and noticed the bar wasn't as busy. He walked over and sat down on a bar stool. "Hey Rika...." he said. "You made quite the first impression on the other coaches..... I don't think they wanted to go home to their wives..." he joked as he decided to order one last whiskey and ginger.

"Best?" Rika challenged with a smile. "Best maybe be great but does it really count if you're not number one." She knew the competitiveness of men and sports men especially and teased their egos into a friendly competition.

Rika waved off the thanks for her help. "It was no problem. I'll be around if you need anything else." She smiled and waved once more to the table. "Gentleman, don't have yourselves too much fun without me." Another tease this one with a side eyed look and a finger wag.

Rika resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the leering men but as she has also encouraged it she had to settle with a heavy sigh once she was behind the bar.

The rest of the night she blended her time between hanging out with her station family, playing darts and pool, helping behind the bar and catching up with friends and regulars that came into Hooks through out the night. This had always been a safe space for Rika, as it was too low grade for her mother to be seen here and as such applied to her sister. Rika smiled at the look of twisted disgust when as a child she bragged about getting to sleep under the pool table as she would often steal a table drape a sheet over it and claim it as hers for the rest of the night no matter how busy it got.

Bill had ventured to the bar again but it was busy so there was little time to talk though Rika made sure she got him is order without much of a wait.

Music notes started and Rika spun to look for her father. It was their song and there we was posed dramatically tapping his foot to the beat of the music. Killian stood off to the side head down and rocking as he pretended to play the piano on the table top.

"Just a small town girl. Livin' in a lonely world. She took the midnight train goin' anywhere." Duncan sang with some creditable skill.

Laughing like a child Rika swayed, spun and danced across the bar keeping the rhythm of the song as she moved.

She wore a wide smile that would light up the darkest nights and the simple joys of being home finally settled. "Just a city boy. Born and raised in South Detroit. He took the midnight train goin' anywhere" Rika wasn't the greatest singer but she was passable and at least could say that she could hold her notes and pitches with clarity.

The rest of the firefighters swayed, arms linked over each other's shoulders singing in a ragtag unison with the daughter and father duo. Josh rodking the invisible guitar. "A singer in a smokey room. The smell of wine and cheap perfume. For a smile they can share the night. It goes on and on, and on, and on."

Rika broke from singing caught up in laughter as her father spun her into his arms and then twirled her once, twice and then a third time before releasing her. Someone started clapping to the music and Rika picked it up as she skipped around the tables the station had claimed arms held high over her head and she butted her way into the middle of the arm links. "Strangers, waitin'. Up and down the boulevard. Their shadows. Searchin' in the night. Streetlights, people. Livin' just to find emotion."

This was her favorite part and like she had from the moment she had heard this song she broke out of the line of men and stepped up on the nearst chair belting out the next line in a solo move. "Hidin' somewhere in the night!"

The station family broke apart and away from the song as the other patrons of the bar took up their parts and sang aloud to the lyrics. The little corner in the back though was in their own world welcoming back their little sister/daughter with a mixture of hugs, hair ruffles and few well given punches. It was more or less a farewell too as they gathered up their shit and headed back to their homes or the station based on their shifs.

"See you guys later." Rika sighed giving her dad another hug. "I'll see you at home Pa."

"Don't give Sten too much trouble." Duncan warned.

"Or do." Rika and Dunacn said together as he left.

Behind the bar again Sten chuffed. "It is good to have you back for a while Pup." It was as emotional as Sten was likely to get and it warmed Rika's heart that she was so missed and cared for when she hadn't of thought of herself as such.

"Love you too Gruffy." Rika smiled heart pulling her to a new high.

It started to get late and as it was a thursday the scene started to thin out as it crept closer to midnight. It also meant that Rika felt less guilty as she pulled out her phone and plugged it into the sound system putting it on shuffle. Listening and humming alone to the song as she washed and cleaned dishes and the bartop.

Bill's voice broke her from the cleaning zone she was in and she looked up quickly drying her hands. "Hiya Bill." She greeted back nodding as he mentioned the other coaches. "Yeah, well it easy enough to chase a fantasy but they much like rainbows, forever out of reach." She shrugged. "Plus they seem a nice enough group of men that they'd not take it too close to heart." She placed the whiskey and ginger in front of Bill, waving off any money as she poured another one for herself and came around the bar to sit next to him.

"What about you?" She looked pointedly at the ring on his finger as she sipped from her glass.

Bill and the other coaches were in shock at the show being put on by the group of fire fighters. They watched in awe with smiles as the singing interrupted their meeting. Bill found it entertaining, that was, until Rika started belting out lyrics and singing. He felt his eyes watching the young bartender, in complete awe of how confident she belted out the lyrics.

He couldn't take his eyes off of her. There was something about her that he was drawn to. She had the look, just absolutely gorgeous with a great body. However, her personality and confidence is what drew him to her. He watched, wanting to sing along as the song and group started to break a part.

As the coaches meeting broke, Bill shook the hands of the other coaches. "See you guys tomorrow, we got a lot of work ahead of us." As they disappeared out the door, Bill saw Rika cleaning the bar. He knew he should leave but was drawn to go have another conversation with her.

As he said hi and she turned with a smile, he mentioned the basketball coaches. He laughed at her response, "they are good guys..... I am sure they enjoyed the flirting..... although I am sure some of them would have considered cheating to get a chance with you...." he said laughing.

As she waved off the money for his drink, he smiled, "thanks." As she poured herself one and came around the bar, he watched as she sat down on the barstool next to him. As she made her next comment, he saw her looking down at his ring and smiled.

"What about me? Well unlike those guys I am not married yet...... just engaged," he admitted. "My fiancé wouldn't like that I am out at the bar with a beautiful woman, but I think I am a trustworthy and good guy...... at least more then when I met her in college" he says laughing.

"You don't seem like the type of girl that opens up to strangers..... or are you?," he laughs. "Are you the type of girl that would have gotten me in trouble in college?"

Rika slicked her tongue. "I've learned that being the source of someone's regret isn't ever worth the amount of fun that comes with cheating." The comment struck way too close to home in a lot of ways but it was a constant feeling in her life and it was easy enough to ignore the thought. "Plus if there is that much unhappiness in someone's relationship how much true enjoyment and truth can there be in seeking that in a false light with someone else?" She countered in more shared thought then question.

"Engaged, congrats." Rika found herself nodding to his words. "I'm not really. I know how to keep the face and play the game but it's never the real me people are talking to. More a reflection of who they think they want to be talking to." She answered in honesty. "As far as whether or not I would have gotten you in trouble..."

Smiling Rika moved to her knees on the barstool and leaned over the bartop behind the bar knowing that while it wasn't the point to stick her ass in the air, it was and would have offered Bill and nice view if he were to look.

Back in her seat and in her hand was a bottle of the whiskey that Bill had been drinking and two half oz jiggers. "We'll play a game I like to call once upon a time." She set a jigger in front of Bill, one in front of herself and the bottle between them. "We'll phase the start of a statement with 'once upon a time I would have' and we can fill in the rest with whatever we want. If whatever we said would have worked on you, don't drink. If it wouldn't have worked on you, the other person drinks." Filling her jigger she passed the bottle to Bill. "Like, once upon a time I would have introduced myself to you and trailed my fingers lightly up and down your arm as we talked." The bottle sat between them like the invitation she meant it to be as Rika waited to see if he would play or not.

Bill listened to her talk about to her talk about cheating and being the source of someone's regret. He nodded knowingly, "yeah, the cheating stuff is never how the depict it in movies....." he admitted. "In college I made a few mistakes and am lucky my now fiancé stuck it out with me knowing I was better then that." He listened to her as he nodded, "with me, the unhappiness was with myself, had nothing to do with the relationship, but I totally understand and agree with what you are saying."

As she congratulated him for the engagement he smiled, "thank you..." he said. He smiled as she talked about her guarded self. He grinned, "so I am not talking to the real you? Who are you trying to be in this moment?" He was intrigued, but as she spoke about if she was the type to get him in trouble he gave her a look.

As she moved to her knees and leaned over the bar, he couldn't help but check out her amazing backside in her shorts. God she is sexy, he thought to himself.

As she moved back into her seat he laughed. He saw thr bottle and two jiggers. "Oh boy this looks like trouble...." he teased. As she explained the game to him he nodded in understanding. "Okay yeah.... let's see where this goes...."

Bill took the bottle from her after she filled the jigger and did the same with his. As she started talking, he smiled. He lifted the shot glass and drank the whiskey. He sighed as he re-filled his jigger. "Once upon a time that definitely would have peaked my interest.

"Lets see, once upon a time I would have bought you a drink and sat close, reaching up to run my fingers through your hair as we talked," he said, smiling a bit, thinking back to his own college days.

"You sound lucky to have a fiancé like that. There aren't many that are understanding like that."

Rika laughed as he tried to call her out. "Well Coach Bill, you seemed to have caught me in a strange moment because unfortunately this is me for all that it's good for." She smiled stretching her arms out in a display of herself.

"No-" Rika reached out to still his hand but was too late. "You only drink if that wouldn't have worked. As you claimed that it would have peaked your interest you don't drink but I will for being wrong." With her hand still on his hand she opened her palm and patted. "To be fair I'll take this shot after admitting that having my hair played with is a secret love of mine."

Twisting in her seat to better face Bill she continued. "Once upon a time I would have nibbled on my lips and leaned in close to get your thoughts all tangled about kissing me."

Bill openly laughed as he messed up the rules to the game. "Well that makes more sense..... as this game could get you very drunk the other way around," he said laughing. "Okay, I got it now, only drink if it wouldn't have worked..... I understand now."

As her hand stayed on his he smiled. Her hands were very soft, he thought to him before she patted on his hand and watched as she took the shot to make the two of them even. He nodded, "well, you have amazing hair, something about red heads...."he admitted.

As she twisted to face him he stared at her. As she told him the next once upon a time he gasped, smiling a bit. "That definitely would have got me thinking about kissing you," he admitted.

"My turn..... once upon a time I would have moved in close, slid my hand to your lower back and whispered into your ear to talk in a crowded bar."

"What fun would this game be if you're too drunk to see what happens in the end. And if it doesn't work out, well then you're too drunk to care anyways." There was always better odds to a game that you won no matter what, which is what was fun about this one she had made up years ago.

Rika shook her head letting her hair fly about her face before doing that classical hair flip. "Funny that's what all the guys say." Running her hand back to clear the flyaways from her face she waited for the question that normally follows. "Wait, you mean..." She prompted. "You're seriously not going to ask if the curtains match the carpet?" She was honestly shocked, EVERYONE asked that question.

"Once upon a time I would have pressed my cheek against yours as you spoke and closed that space between our bodies, my breasts pressed against you." Rika teased unaware that as she spoke she had scooted closer to Bill.

Bill laughed as she brought up the question to ask. He shook his head, "God I would never have asked that question.... especially to someone I just met." He gave her a grin as he shook his head, "not that it matters...... your red hair alone would have peaked my interest.... most men have a thing for red heads," he admitted. He found himself thinking about her, now wondering if in fact the curtains matched the carpet.

As she scooted closer to him he felt himself relax a bit. This game was making him ease up and let his mind wander. He no longer thought of the ring on his finger or the fact he was out late with a woman he was definitely attracted to. He listened to her once upon a time and smiled.

"Hmmm..... he reached for the shot glass..... that may not have worked..." he said before laughing. "Sorry, I am lying, that would have totally worked..... I mean, your breasts against me would have had me wanting to touch them."

"Once upon a time I would have nibbled on your ear, letting my hand slide onto your leg to feel your thigh," he said smiling at her. Both of them atempting to tease the other in the moment.
