Allow scripted windows?

I recently lost my computer to a virus that destroyed my hard drive. I am trying to figure out how it happened. I love to change my avatar when I'm bored. It asks you if you want to allow scripted windows from a trusted site. I tried to google this but I am not getting the answer to this question. Could that be one of the ways I might have gotten this virus???? What is a scripted window? I was going to hide for a while but if there is a chance to lose the computer I got I will be hiding a long time.

Your hard drive is not "destroyed".

Simply wipe it clean and reload from start.

Or start-up via "safe mode" and reset to a previous "restore point".

I don't deny that but I only go to one place and a couple of people I know go there and say that it can't be that. To be safe I am not going back there so I am having to use my imagination. It works!

Well I know nothing about computers. We took it to a trusted friend who has a business and does work for major companies in the US. I suppose we could do that but he said that he couldn't retrieve anything. I should have said I lost everything that was on my computer I guess. I may have opened an e-mail I shouldn't have. I am trying to be so careful. Have antivirus and malware. I just wondered if it could happen when I change my pictures when I allow this script thingy? Thanks for your help friend!!!!
