Ok here's my problem, I have actually a few pics that I am trying to resize so that I can use them as my av. I have a relatively new computer (less than 3 months old) but there is no program that lets me resize pics, not even in paintshop (which it turns out is an older version) and so now, I've managed to resize it (not that I can remember how) but the first one I tried it with, looks really distorted, not like the original at all. What am I doing wrong? This is really starting to piss me off! Help!

Post them here and someone will be along shortly to resize them for you.

Helpful lot. :)

(pointing up. See?)

Ok, here's the first one I tried....

I guess this is it, I can't seem to find the other 2 I was trying to resize

Are you wanting it bigger or smaller?

making it larger usually distorts it.. maybe someone else knows how to do it.. but I have yet to figure out how to make it larger without making it distorted..

This is 150 x 68.. in a JPG format

*edited to add.. I think.. av's can only be 150 x 150 so this is the largest it can be.. (I could be wrong though.. it's been known to happen before.. :D )

Personally, I don't care, I just need it to be the 150x150 pixels for my av, but when I did it, it looked like this....

roxie, your problem lay in the fact that it was not perfectly square, yet that's exactly what you made it. you only needed to make it 150 pixles wide, not 150x150. did the program you were using require you to input the size for both height and width?

Maybe I just need to find another av....I really liked this one tho, but for some reason, without it looking distorted, it won't load.. I even tried both of the ones that you guys did..thanks to both of you too!

So any ideas for a new av?

I actually have one close to this, I think I got it at JC Penny, but it's black instead of white, but it's sheer and very comfy and sexy at the same time

IrfanView 32 Bit graphics viewer

The link above is a free graphics program that does a decent job of resizing and converting from one format to another. It's the second best choice for resizing pictures easily.

The best choice is a bit more expensive -- Paint Shop Pro from JASC Software ( www.jasc.com) The registered version is around $100-$125 but there is a thirty day trial version available at their website.

Scylis was right about the proportions causing the distortion. You need to keep the same "aspect ratio" when you resize pictures very difficult with any program that uses "drag box" resizing. Both of the programs mentioned above use a numeric input for one dimension and calulate the other dimension to maintain the proportions and avoid distortion. (unless you specificlly tell them to distort the picture.)

Dell.

Dell Picture Studio does a great job, but no help if you don't have a Dell. Check all of your photo viewing/editing programs file menu bars thoroughly for a "resize" function.

You'll always find helpful "friends" here to resize your pictures for you..........especially the nudies!!!

RhumbRunner:p ;)

I have a sheer bra like that only it's in Red and not white or black. I got it in Lane Bryant since I am a 38DD it is very sheer but also irridescent. I would love to find a sheer bra in white!!

If anyone knows where to get one please drop me a line.
