It's hard to say what his point is, since Koalabear really isn't capable of posting more than two sentences at a time, or having any sort of reasoned discussion.
But I suspect he's implying the following:
1) Because most of the U.S. was colder than normal in January (this is not in dispute), it must also be true that
2) Global warming isn't occuring.
However, there are a few problems with this alleged slam dunk:
1) Needless to say, the United States is a fairly small part of the entire earth.
2) No scientist that I know of has ever said that "global warming" means the temperatures will just keep going up and up year after year, with no variation. Climate and weather aren't the same, as I've said again and again.
3) When it's real hot in 5 months, I'm sure the moronic marsupial, Out2Lunch, Miles and all the rest will post exactly zero threads about the weather or how it "proves" the reality of climate change.

Not much we can do anyway, it's a NATURALLY occurring phenomenon that is also being observed on Venus and Mars, and has occurred throughout Earth's history, LONG before there were factories or Hummers on the road.
But the libs just love to ignore those little gems of info....
It's really a shame that science has been so corrupted by grant money, particularly on this issue.

Warming increases evaporation from the seas. Evaporation creates more clouds. More clouds results in increased precipitation. So, yes, all this snow and rain could well be a result of global warming.
