You can use muffin tins instead of yorkshire pudd tins if they're hard to find in your area. You may have to adjust your cooking times, though. Now back on the Shepards Pie thing. Sometimes my gran would make potato biscuits dough and spread that on top instead of mashed potato. Here's a recipe that's pretty close to what she used. Potato Biscuits She adds about a quarter cup extra of regular milk and then doesn't roll them out. For Shepards Pie, my mom made a regular pie crust and filled it all with basically the same ingredients others have posted, i.e. ground beef, cubed potatoes, carrots, onions etc. Then covered it with another pie crust and baked it. It was really nothing more than a beef pot pie. But was really good just the same. Homemade pie crust is always wonderful.

James was saying oin the programme yesterday he often just uses a cake tin to make the big Yorkshire pudding crust...certainly looked yummy, but then just about everything he cooks does, as well as those eyes which have been described as bedroom eyes by more than one female celebrity.

And wheat flour usually, too. My Gran is very much the all natural, no preservatives sort of lady. She rocks. Rules the family with a 90-something year old iron fist in a velvet glove.

Now if you understand why someone might think that "Ford Prefect" is a perfectly reasonable alias to use while researching this particular mud-ball, the likelihood of you actually being alien goes up significantly...

And if you know why Daleks are deathly afraid of the Doctor, well then, you're right out.

Yes well they made Hitchhikers Guide here in Australia didn't they .........or am I wrong ? A Ford prefect the car ( as opposed to the Douglas Adams character ) was actually the first my Dad ever owned. He rolled it a few times apparently pffffffffft and he thought I was a real wild child.

I forget why Daleks are afraid of the Dr though I do remember Tom Baker ( I had an almost duplicate of his long scarf it was an actual part of our winter school uniform) and who could forget as Bron so eloquently said 'Exterminate Exterminate.............' As kids we had it sussed that the very scary Daleks couldn't get up steps so we were safe..........lol

Anyone been to Liverpool? I'm watching golf today and they're playing there. This is the last day of a 4 day event, and Tiger is kicking butt. What a wonderful reception he's getting.

Midsomer Murders begins in 20 minutes. On Sundays, they show 2 different episodes and I record them. And in between is a series of Poirot (which I also record lol). I love Sunday tv on the Biography channel. ;-) I really love these British detective shows. And I always marvel at the places they film them at, especially the Poirot episodes. How do they find so many different art-deco places to film in, yaknow?

It was an episode from the Goodies they had an underwater post office radio station that only had one record . It was 'A Walk in the Black Forest' . They just kept announcing and playing it over and over.........

They had some funny episodes. Kitten Kong and one I recall and the one with Haggis as if they were lemmings and throwing their poor wee haggis selves off cliffs........

No wonder I am slightly bent huh ...........smiles

Hmm, so we now can enjoy the new series of Inspector Lynley, though I am not sure enjoy is the word. LOL, when will he and Havers finally do the thing and stop dancing around how they feel by pretending it is not there?!! Now he is working his way back to his wife?!! The things guilty thoughts can make people do.
