“The (Justice) Department’s position is that the Constitution requires that this case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated,”

Smith wrote of the election subversion case in a six-page filing with US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington, DC.

“This outcome is not based on the merits or strength of the case against the defendant.”

I think Trump is a shitbag… but fawk is he ever good at avoiding legal shit.

Roy Cohn & Roger Stone… golden!

Anyway, yeah… stormy daniels nobody ever cared about that one.

The records? He should have put them in the garage next to his Corvette like joe.

What was the other one… oh yeah, Jan 6…that one they should have arrested him for.

But they didnt! So suck a bag of dicks, dummies.

OP can't even begin to contain his Trump fanboy lust. Wasn't brave enough to re-emerge until he won the election, either. 🤣

If it were me, the lawfare would be just beginning, not ending.

In the Fla case that was dismissed, the judge decided that Smith wasn't lawfully appointed. Once he dropped the appeal, he's admitting that he wasn't.

Oops.

That opens the door to him being sued PERSONALLY for malicious prosecution because if he wasn't lawfully appointed, he has no governmental immunity.

Double Oops.

I'd puree the pound of flesh I'd get out of Smith's ass on that one.

In the meantime; Bragg, James, and Willis should sit all the way down and hope no one notices them in the dust up.

Smith did not admit anything except the DoJ's policy directed him to drop the case. He is not opening the door to anything.

Nonetheless, his tail is between his legs.

He got outmanouvered over and over.

Plus, Garland waited way too long to get things started.

Trump has been the King of the Weasels for a long time.

“In a brief order, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan agreed to dismiss the charges, but did so in a way that would allow them to be brought again after his time in the White House concludes.”

This is the way its done in a case like this…the practical effects are twofold from a scales of justice pov:

1. Knowing the case can be restarted ought to encourage him to handle records better;
2. He’ll probably die in office or be too washed up in 4 years to bother with.

Your stupid gimpy ass wouldn't do anything.

One would think that you'd finally get the fucking message after you and your progressive agenda narrative got your asses handed to you a couple of weeks ago.

Literally everything you've said over the past few years was WRONG. And yet here you are still under the ongoing delusion that somehow your wrongthink is correct when it comes to Trump.

Literally everything! 🤣

How exciting for you. Smith is not liable for doing his job as instructed.

The right will likely bring more political theater to appease dipshits. That's what they do.

Has Il Douche74 ever been right about anything?

Hard to say who’s the bigger idiot.

But I’d say that about most of you.
Lol

I was right about the cases being dismissed as well as him being elected.

But you keep stroking arpy's cock as needed. And pP always needs a little validation as well, if you've got a little extra.

Addressing point #1.

Unlikely to have any effect at all. All that has happened in the intervening time is that Trump has studied and learned how to use the levers of power.

As to point #2.

Anything is possible but if he's even partially successful over his last term JD will succeed him and it will be Chutkan that will disappear in the dust bin of history.

Seems crazy. Either he broke the law or he didn't. Being President shouldn't have any bearing.

So Trump didn’t take classified documents back to Florida?

HOT!!!! :)

So, all this has proven is that Trump is basically above and untouchable by the law, will not be presecuted for the very well documented crimes he has committed. But is free to turn around and prosecute his opponents for undocumented crimes they have NOT committed.

And yet, you people accuse the Democrats of "Lawfare" basically so your chosen dictator can do exactly this.
Only difference is, Trump actually committed crimes.
But in a dictatorship the laws of the land do not apply to the leaders. This is the way you wanted it, right?
