Governor linked to unsolved murders in 1970s New York
Almost lost in the growing sexual abuse scandal surrounding Andrew Cuomo but gaining recent traction are two cases young women who were in daily contact with the embattled New York governor before they disappeared.
Tiffany "Tiffie" Nelson, 28, worked on the Governor's Task Force on Infrastructure and was last seen on Dec. 11, 2019. Shaniqua Washington, 26, was with the Minority Opportunity Board and vanished Oct. 4, 2018.
Perhaps most ominously, there are reports both were last seen alone with Cuomo in his office. Missing persons forms obtained from the Albany Police obtained by the Fox News affiliate were heavily redacted but do confirm that Washington's parents, Nigel and Grace Washington, had been in regular contact with law enforcement.
There are also indications the FBI may soon be involved, and that the investigation may go all the way back to Cuomo's days at Fordham University and a series of similar, unsolved murders of young women in the mid- to late 1970s.
The FBI declined comment.
Morbid obesity was the common thread linking all murder victims in the 1970s. How the FBI could tie that in with the two missing women, who are slender, as well as the women who have alleged sexual harassment by Cuomo, is unknown.
"We've had our eyes on Cuomo a long time," a source inside the FBI said. "But's he's a slippery fuck."
Efforts to contact the Minority Opportunity Board were unsuccessful because, as reported by the local Fox affiliate, it does not exist.
