One of Brian Weed's buddies. This was on a hike/paddle trip across Admiralty Island. Mosquitoes and flies might have been more prevalent than in downtown Juneau, so the headnet. 10% of Alaska's brown bears live on Admiralty and that's more brown/griz than in the other 48 states. So, bearspray and a Magnum revolver makes sense.

Prior to deer hunting on Admiralty, I upgraded my hunting rifle from a 30-06 to a .338WM. I can tell you from personal experience, that when you find those big paw prints on top of your boot prints, it's quite sobering.
