Good Lord that's a beautiful piece of property.
I broke down last week and bought a new rifle. Rem. 700 LR in 300 WinMag.
(Yeah, I know that this belongs in the "Gun nuts" thread but I'm too lazy to look it up and some one will just to prove how 'stoopid' I am.)
Going to work up loads around the new Horandy 225 gr. ELD offering.

It ought to get the job done.
It's one of those "in theory" things. It all looks good on paper, but we need to go to the range.

You can always downsize to some 180's and take anything on the continent.
I understand local officials are considering bringing in predators to thin down the moose numbers in the Anchorage area.
Wolf packs would probably do the trick.
I'm shooting 1000 yd. "In theory' the 225 launched at 2850 (Norma brass, CCI primers, H1000 powder) will still be supersonic at a mile, no transition BS to deal with.Spin drift is ! 5" with the 1:10 barrel. Wind, as always, is 'Kentucky' windage. I'm tuning at 300 yd with a chrono and looking for no more than a 1/4 MOA. (Yeah, but you have to have goals.)
Me and Vat have been shooting hunting loads. !50gr. SP @ a modest 2800 (CCI primers, Federal Brass, IMR4831 powder) with good results. He's shooting a light barreled Savage. Quite adequate upto, maybe 300 yds or so. It'll hang within a 1/2 MOA with care.
