Two TU-95s and two SU-35s were escorted back to international airspace on Tuesday by a couple of F-22s off NW Alaska.

I'd hate to be accused of being picky but wouldn't it be more accurate to describe it as the photographer's view of the sheep's view?

;) ;) ;)

Rams are always above the ewes.

This is an interesting place to hike/climb. Above this steep bit where the sheep hang out, the mountain flattens out for several hundred yards. I recall seeing a Griz with cub on the flatter zone once, when hiking the Falls Creek trail which is on the other side of the creek behind the photographer. Spring is nicer than summer when hiking up there because the grass gets so high you can't see more than 50 feet up the winding trail.

Dear thor,

Please keep the Russians at bay. Given how close hey're flying these days, you can actually see them.

Love,

The Contiguous 48
