"Old Man Winter returning to Southcentral!

After 36 days without measurable snowfall in Anchorage, snow has returned to the forecast. The snow could make for hazardous driving conditions, especially where it is falling heaviest.

For both Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley, snow showers are expected to begin during the evening hours tonight. The snow is forecast to pick up after midnight, continuing into the day on Sunday. During the afternoon, the snow is expected to begin diminishing, though the snow showers should persist into Sunday night. The snow could mix with rain during the day Sunday in Anchorage.

There remains significant uncertainty as to how much snow is expected, along with timing and precipitation type during the day on Sunday."
