"Do we really think that a government-dominated education is going to produce citizens capable of dominating their government, as the education of a truly vigilant self-governing people requires?"

Although I disagree with Alan Keyes on many issues, I've always found him to be the most honest, most well-spoken of the bunch during debates. It's too bad he wasn't the nominee, or the VP candidate.

I thought Alan Keyes was the only person who didn't have a political agenda for his own self interest. Republican, Democrat, whatever, they all have their own egos, power, and just seem so damn corrupt. I felt Alan Keyes was true to his beliefs. I liked him a lot!!! I thought he was real.:)

Yes, but if he stood a chance of getting anywhere, would not the Left begin attacking him and destroying him, offering all sorts of loud, repeated argument...

Sorry Lazer,

just can't give it up.

Times are too dangerous...

I would have voted for him.....

At least he can form thoughts and spit them out in an understanding way - and pretty quickly too.

Better'n who we ended up with.

All the new education proposal's I've seen promote numbers - not education. More dumbies will graducate - big deal - that's all we need - construction workers in places they ought not to be.

Or who we could have ended up with, eh?

Yes, I like Alan Keyes, too, for all of the reasons mentioned above.

Shall we write to Alan to let him know of his aspiring fan club on lit? I wonder what he would say!
