Al Sharpton - has he done Atkins?

Damn.

I just saw him on the news.

The man has lost a considerable amount of weight.

Good for him.

:rose:

I doubt it.
He's probably lost weight from running around after white people to harass.

He's not angry, he's just looking for his next victim because that's how he makes his money.
Ok, feigned anger then. Must be quite a workout too.

At least he's ditched those ugly-ass running suits.

Talk about a fashion faux pas'.

He can't eat anything, because his head is still buried up his arsehole. :D

Even so, I do applaud him for the weight loss.

Sarah, you really do find the good in everyone, don't you, love? :rose:

Yeah, too bad he is still a cynical and malicious race-baiter who survives by picking the scabs from the wounds of our society, introducing infections, and lapping up the pus.

He and his kind on all sides of the ideological spectrum are toxic, poisonous tumors on the body politic. They thrive by inflaming hatred, and ensuring that healing does not happen. No person of good will should give them any sanction or "cover." Shun them, and speak out when necessary.

(Why don't I just say what I really think about Sharpton and his kind?)

I say looking that frumpy all the time is the key. Who knows how many muscles he must activate for that.

Wow, and we were just making conversation.

oh, ewwww.

As much as I despise Sharpton, that image is just not a good influence on a body already feeling rather yucky due to illness.

For the first time I find myself thinking you might be right. Holy shit, next thing you know I will start to listen to R Richards.

The fact that you refer to the two of us in the same post shows that you haven't been reading what I say carefully enough. (Homework assignment: Go back and carefully re-read all my posts. ;) )

I mentioned in my post that there exist examples of this particular poison on all sides of the ideological spectrum. I don't really think R. Richard is malicious in the same way as the Sharptons of the world, but his discourse can come close to being the same thing. Perhaps the brazenness of a Sharpton provides a useful model, and a caution for all of us on where to draw the line.

He's just applying the big ol' labels, and then believing them. For some reason, he has the same label on you and on RR, which shows he needs to revise his labeling.

LOL - That makes me think of this from Animal House:

Bluto: Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

I detest the very fradulant nature of the man. He claims to have been a close associate of Marten Luther King. But look at the old pictures. If he appears at all, he is way in the back with the "gophers".

He claims to be the shining knight of civil rights. But the reality is disruption and incitment of both the white and black communities.

he claims to be a minister. But no one has ever found his church. He uses the churchs of others as his pulpet, because he has no real education in religion. His entire demeanor is abhorant to everything the bible cautions against - sloth, ego etc.

Wow, thanks Cant. That's really nice of you to notice, and to say so.

I think Mikey probably just doesn't tune in carefully to exchanges relevent to this, which no one is required to do, obviously. It's no harm, no foul so long as no assertions are made, and I'm sure this was just tongue-in-cheek. (Note to self: Once again illustrating the danger of satire. )
