Bush might have sat idly/ineptly by as America plunged into massive debt, the National Guard was misused as a permanent military for an ill-advised long-term occupation, the trade deficits hit record-after-record month-after-month, and the country's manufacturing base whithered away but...

...at least the President has been alert enough to get the fuck out of the way when the time comes.
