AIG and the Nazis

Bull Shit! Let them leave....its a joke.

The real question is, when did Tim Geithner know about the bonuses and when will he be asked to resign. Hopefully soon.

If he tanks Turbo Timmy then he won't have anybody in Treasury.

Why would they ask an incompetent to resign? He's a perfect fit for the Obama administration.

Have you seen the White House press secretary yet? A real toolbox.

Sure...till a freak hurricane in Kentucky takes your power out in the heat of summer :)

I was out of power for three or four days, but I keep my freezer full to the top with jugs of water if need be, and was able to use those to keep my refrigerator cold, so lost no food.

Other folks, not so much foresight and they lost their deep freeze contents as well as their refrigerator. And I think chest freezers have gone the way of the dinosaur in recent decades.

I prefer canning because it keeps longer; and only freeze the obvious things: broccoli, strawberries, corn, tomatoes whose lids didn't seal in the canner, etc.

I should have thought about power outages. I guess I didn't because I have backup power. - He said, smugly.

Did UD see the big screaming headlines as Dodd finally admits, "Yes, it was me...?"

Geitner was part of the Bush team and "the failed policies of the past."

Change we can believe in...

How Can they Fool Us Today?

Am I the only person who wonders about all this AIG crap and how the BO govt is trying to fool us again?

They say “Hey! A little bit of this money went to corporate bonus’s – get mad!!!!”

They do not tell you how much money they got in campaign donations… How come no one is demanding all the campaign contributions get sent back???

How come no one is wondering why this same government that gave out all the money did not do the Constitution requirement of oversight?? ( Dems – that means they were suppose to manage how it was spent… )

How come no one mentions that Tim Geitner was the person who set up the payout while working in New York??? Yet no that the tax cheat is running the IRS we have to pretend Obama and staff new nothing about it…

How about Chris Dodd 1 year ago agreeing the future bonus’s had to be paid out legally and all of sudden he forgets??? Also, Sen. Dodd was AIG’s largest single recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org.

Since Obama and Dodd got HUGE campaign contributions lets just call them bonus’s and tell them to give them back!!!

The same Chris Dodd that wanted HIS mortgage to be a gift while Rome was burning and he was saying along with Barney Frank that all is well at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mack and those evil Republicans are just trying to stop the poor black people from getting home loans… Credit worthy or not –

Now the the Democrats destroyed are entire economy they want to give away trillions of dollars to hide their MULTIPLE BLUNDERS and blame Bush and SOON you are about to have to pay for this… Each and every one of us is going to have our taxes ESCALATE…

Hold on to your ass – they are coming after you and your freedoms… You do understand every time they create a new law and a new tax our freedom diminishes??

You do understand that correct??

Been pointing it out since before the election, but Democrats didn't care, all they wanted was a break from the "failed policies of the past..."

UD, what percentage would you say the Democrats are culpable for in this mess?

0%?

50%?

Right or wrong, doesn't "The President" get the blame for what occurs on his watch?

(Indirectly, I voted for Obama by NOT voting for McCain.)

I say it takes two to Tango and I'm looking around for Republicans to blame and the only one I really see is Bush who was panicked by his Democrat Treasury Sec and aided and abetted by a Democrat Congress which vowed to never, EVER let BushCO & WMDs spook them into getting stuck on stupid again...

And yet, here we are, stuck on stupid because everyone is following the Bush plan including Obama who is content with doubling down on stupid.

Got that estimate for us yet UD?

UD went silent when he actually started checking the sources, at least I have to presume so. Apparently he hasn't been able to find any spin on the Daily Kos that sounds like anything more than politi-babble.

It seems fitting that Obama should compare Timmy 'the incompetent' with Hamilton. Perhaps it's best to remind ourselves that it was not without reason that Burr shot Hamilton and while there were a great many who have expressed sympathy towards Hamilton, it was probably best for the Republic that Hamilton did die on that field in New Jersey and argues favorably for the revival of the honorable duel. While it was Burr that pulled the trigger, it was Jefferson and Madison that helped aim the pistol.

Poor Ish.
I don't read Kos, never have. Swing and a miss.

AIG still had a choice in their appointment of a CEO despite your claims. Just like every other institution crying about any restrictions put on bailout money sent their way. They're free to refuse the cash and try to get another bank to write them a loan, file for bankruptcy protection, or close their doors.

The argument could be made that having to go to the government for a bailout amounts to filing for bankruptcy protection which would put all of those contracts up for renegotiation anyway.

Contrary to what you might think Cap'n Hypocrite you and your "mentor" are hardly the first thing I think of when I sit down to read Lit.

I can hear the exact same arguments on highlights of Limbaugh's show from yesterday. Poor little parrots.

Good morning Sparky...

Got the DNC memo?

Still a cowardly piece of shit taking pot shots from the relative safety of ignore?

Thought so.

Of course they did UD. They could appoint the CEO hand picked by Paulson, or they could forget the bailout. I never argued that they didn't have a choice.

Ishmael

Blame Bush or blame Obama for continuing the failed policies of the past?

Tough choice there Sparky...

Both true!

Is this like that Northern Trust bank that had the "choice" of accepting the "suggestion" of the bank regulator to take a bailout (even tho' they didn't need or want it) or pay the penalty for rejecting "suggestions" by bank regulators?

...and then got blasted by Congress for hosting a lavish party for their best customers with Earth Wind & Fire (who performed for the White House's lavish party the next night)?

I think you have the gist of it.

So is this like that bank (was it Morgan Stanley?) that Paulson "suggested" buy Bank of America, even tho' they didn't want it, and then became hamstrung by the strings forced on them since BoA took bail out money?

Not only that, but the CEO recently told a gathering that the Administration was lying about the bailouts being designed to buy toxic assets, they were actually directed to buy up smaller banks, a move I submit was done to make it easier to Nationalize and then Internationalize our banking system because this administration hates and is at war with Private Enterprise; they think Freddie and Fannie were the anomolies of governmental control and not the rule (same goes for the VA...).

tinfoil hat's getting a little snug is it?

Pretty much. They're well on their way. They have the financial markets rigged now.

Ishmael

UD, is THIS the "Change" you voted for?

The Democrats broke it; the Democrats "own" it.

Wright? Chickens ... roost?

Obama and the democrats took ownership of this economy the day the head ghetto agitator signed that sham of a 'bailout' bill.

Looks to me that it's your partisan hat that's getting a little snug.

Since it was Paulson who told banks to buy banks, and he was Bush's T-S--and Turbo Timmy is following along in his footsteps and Bernanke is in with both, looks to me like the Cap'n was blasting *both* administrations.

YMMV

Me, I'm putting the blame where it belongs, where it always rightfully belongs:
