Smooth and FGB have a lot in common. They both start out by developing what they want to believe, then find those who will expound that which upholds their beliefs. It doesn't really matter if the "facts" they use to support those beliefs are credible, truthful or manufactured from thin air. All that matters is it upholds their view point. Rather then having the integrity and honesty to question their beliefs, they blindly accept as fact those things that will allow them to continue to believe what they desperately want to. Personally I don't get angry at such things, but I rarely enter into a discussion with those who have already made up their minds. It a waste of my time and theirs.

I also have the impression that a few 'serious-minded people (not referring to this thread) don't pick up when you're joking as opposed to being serious. I was baffled by a few instances when they took offense
