was so much of a drag (nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more). Me, I'm going to my Church's pancake supper tomorrow night. It's a wee bit tamer, but I'm getting on in years....

If you want a real Mardi Gras, you need to drink a Hurricane!

Hurricane, New Orleans Style
1 oz white rum
1 oz Jamaican dark rum
1 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
3 oz orange juice
3 oz unsweetened pineapple juice
1/2 oz grenadine syrup
crushed ice

Combine all ingredients, mix well (shake or stir). Pour over crushed ice in hurricane glass. Best enjoyed through a small straw. Garnish with fruit wedge if desired.

I used to make that one for Shrove Tuesday, except I didn't include any juices or grenadine. Always felt itwould knock the sin right out of me (and into the open, where everyone could enjoy it).
