AH lunch, shagging not required.

As a counter to the AH shagging thread, how many people in the AH would you really like to simply meet for a nice lunch? It wouldn't be about sex, just something about the person that you like, or intrigues you. I'll start with 5 off the top of my head.


RGraham. He's a plethora of knowledge and I'm sure he could verse me in a lot of things that I'm interested in, but don't have the knowledge about that he does.

Tatelou. She seems like a super sweet lady with a great personality. (Plus I have a soft spot for Brits)

Shereads. I'd like the chance to prove to her that I'm not the conservative monster that she thinks I am.

Carson. Still waters run deep. Scarlett there with Carson to stir up the still waters.

Colly. We could swap gun stories. LOL

This list for me might be endless, lol. I'd want to be in the middle of a get together with Min, Mat, Colly, Cloudy, Abs, Lucky, Vella, and LouLou. That would be hiliariously fun, I know.

Other than that, the ones I have chatted with on Yahoo would be fun to meet: WKY, SJ, Logo, QC, Rob, etc.

I don't want to offend anyone, or leave anyone off, so my tentative list is as follows:

BlackShanglan -- I think the conversation would be positively delightful, informative, intelligent, and witty.

The_Darkness -- He's always good for a laugh or two.

kendo -- Like Dark, he makes me smile.

joeys_game -- Possibly one of the sweetest guys I've met on the AH & always a pleasure to talk to.

English_Lady -- One of the sweetest chicks on Lit & also always a pleasure to run into her.

sweetnpetite -- She's spunky, I like that. I think we'd have a lot to talk about.

OhMissScarlett -- In my little world, we'd kick back over a cup of coffee and talk poetry and existentialism for hours.

The_Fool -- I like his attitude and we both like KU.

cloudy -- She's very level-headed and I think I could learn a lot from her.

minsue -- She's a doll.

impressive -- Another person I think I could learn a lot from

rikaaim -- I don't know where he's been lately, but he would be an interesting one to call up for a cup of coffee.


Sheesh. Pretty soon, I'm just gonna' have everyone on the list. I'll stop listing while I'm ahead. I guess a question that would have a shorter answer would've been who wouldn't you hang out w/on the AH.

Seriously, I love y'all. You rock. If I didn't mention you, it's more likely that I just realized too soon that I could go on forever. I don't think I'm even halfway through my list.

Then again, I am in the out crowd, so whether half those people would hang out w/me is another story.

Generally... all of you. I even devote a lunch for the odd ones that I don't like, to see if the impression changed face to face.

Some particular ones:

McK, because I remember that she said we had a common interrest...but I can't remember what that was.

Earl, Wishful et al, so that they can explain cricket for me.

BT, if I can get me a place in the shade this time.

The list is too long, truly. But then I like small groups, so my preference would be more meeting two or three others at a time. Carson and Ms. S, naturally, would have to be together. SubJoe and Pedita, perhaps with English Lady if she fancied the matchup. Colly I really think I would have to meet alone, because we're get into such a deep, intense debate that anyone else present would be highly annoyed. I'm not sure if it would be on politics or literature, or whether we would agree or disagree, but I imagine that we would come out of it still excited and jabbering passionately while noting in an offhanded fashion that the sun was in rather a different position than when we'd started, and we'd probably better go get dinner and continue the discussion there.

Gosling, of course, goes well with anything. Actually I think I'd rather like to go to a lunch where she decided the rest of the guest list. And Varian (who is not on the AH, but is on Lit) I imagine one can take anywhere.

$783.50 for a ticket from Boise to Stockholm. That'd be a helluva pricey lunch, but somehow I don't doubt it would be worth it.


I'd have lunch with most of you, if I could get over my shyness in real life. There are even a few I'd like to have a drink with and get silly-ass drunk with just to see how our personalities change when we loosen up a bit. I, for one, tend not to stutter when drunk. I do, however, speak Dutch. Just tell me to stop. Eventually the synapses in my brain will start firing correctly and I'll remember which language I'm supposed to be speaking.
