I wonder if someone here is interested in Fantasy Football. We could build our own AH league maybe.

Do you think you can beat a german in one of the most american sports in existence? :)

Do you think you can keep up ;)

Might be fun if there were enough people with an interest. From past experience, I would recommend Yahoo fantasy football. It allows you to set up a league and play for free and still get a reasonable amount of control over the scoring system and draft system that you want to use.

So count me in :D

Hike!

It depends if you are talking about American football, soccer or rugby. Different countries erroneously refer to football by different names (lol).

Now, since I'm from Boston, we happen to have one of the greatest quarterbacks who every threw a football, Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.

Besides, how do you play football, albeit fantasy football here?

Now, my fantasy football would be surrounded by naked cheerleaders. Yeah! Touchdown! Score!

Okay, girls bend over and when I say "Hike!" you hike up your short skirt and I hump you.

I don't think this is how you play football, Freddie.

I've done Yahoo leagues and they're pretty good. I know last year, a bunch of us used espn.com leagues and had a blast with them as well.

Why do I get the feeling cloudy has NFL.com marked in one of her favs [-quickly hides his own favs list :D -]

Not completely out of the question in this world of webcams and live chat .... although it would be kind of an e-live draft

Erm...Yahoo does live drafts, I've done them the past couple of years. They can be fun, and the nice thing is that you can make on the fly adjustments to players you may have forgotten about [and do research on during said draft]

Haven't done the live drafts on Yahoo ... the one league I've been in actually has a live, in-person draft with lots of yelling, screaming and beer -- and the other does the computer draft where you pick your draft order and then it goes through the teams (in draft order) and fills your available spots with the highest available player on your list.

Both are kind of fun, but they're both very, very different creatures

I think a live draft on Yahoo would be fun, on a sunday before noon US-time (evening my time). How long shall we wait to do it? If we draft now, there are bound to be injuries and trades that may disrupt the strategy.

Btw, did anyone draft Brett Favre or Shaun Alexander this year already?

The big problem with allowing the computer draft your picks, you can very well end up with an overload of one type of player, and a dearth of another type. Say, you'd have 5 WR's but you drafted Brian Griese and Quincy Carter at QB

Hmmmm I could make a draft at that time.

Hey rumor is Favre is reporting to camp ;)

Edit: Sometime mid-August like. Gives us time to recruit a few more souls, and to see about half of preseason.
