AH Anthology

Imp: I think it's more than worthwhile to try for the ISSN. If we don't get it, then we can still sell online; we just will have to direct people to the Cafe-Press thingy.

I think $350 (is that about £200 in real money?) will be beyond our reach in terms of making it back in the markup.

The Earl

Hehehe. I think we have created ourselves a snowball of titanic proportions here.

Definitely go for the ISSN.
Judging from the number of people who want to participate, there'll be more volumes.

:D :D :D

This one's pretty erotic ... and could be made much more so with a sweating glass, veined stem, etc.

Sunday morning BUMP. More stories & poems vetted. :nana: I will be piecing together volume I from what's been approved by May 1st -- so keep reading!

And those who've been vetted -- GET CRACKIN' http://addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/kampf/peitsch.gif on the proof/edit. The sooner the files get to me, the better. Poems I can copy/paste from the site UNLESS there are changes. I need illustrations in grayscale JPG format.

SUBMISSIONS

Story submissions: Posted HERE. READ 'EM! PM me your endorsements (or post 'em here). PM the author any recommended edits. Be nit picky, please. Everyone wants a quality product. It makes us all look better. To be vetted, a story needs at least 10 endorsements.

Poetry submissions: Posted HERE. READ 'EM! PM me your endorsements (or post 'em here). PM the poet any recommendations.

Art submissions: Kick ass cover art (in color) is needed as relates to the title/subtitle, plus an illustration relating to each story and perhaps other random illustrations for otherwise blank space. Keep in mind that CafePress has options for merchandising (t-shirts, mugs, stickers, tote bags, etc.) for our cover art image!

Imp, are there people who have volunteered to read/edit for the anthology or do we need to seek out someone on our own?
edited to say, I would be glad to read/edit for anyone who needs it. Can't do my own, tho. :)
Also- an entirely different question, which may end up needing a thread, is everyone using their lit name for the anthology or their real name?

About the formatting.
I changed the double spacing to indent.
But what about the paragraphs that mark direct speech?
Do they indent too? But with double spacing?

About reading.
The stories that are in bold, vetted.
Do I need to read those when I have not yet done so?
In order to catch nit-picky things.
Or can I go on to the ones not yet in?

It's exciting, isn't it?

:nana: :D :nana:

Hey threadmeister.

Trying to go through the stories. The link to the story Runner aint kosher. There doesn't even seem to be a story by that name.

snooper has graciously volunteered to help with editing duties, but you can use whomever you please (or tag someone from Lit's volunteer editor roles). Aside from editing (for style), try to have a serious PROOFREADING performed as well -- especially for stuff a spell checker would miss (its & it's, your & you're, to & too, etc.).

Make sure:

There are plenty of resources online to help with editing. HERE is an interesting article on "wordiness."

...

As noted in the first post, I will publish under everyone's Lit ID unless instructed otherwise.

According to Softouch911, it was just submitted and is not yet posted.

(And, that's threadmistress to you!)

Yes, you indent direct quotes. NO double spacing -- ever. (When in doubt, pick up a typical book and check. That's the format we're using.)

Read vetted stories IF you want to -- but concentrate on those which have not yet been approved.

And yes, it's exciting. I want FILES so I can start putting this first puzzle together. :D

Sorry, mistress.

An idea to make technical formatting easier for both you and the crowd: How about a Word template for the stories? Would be pretty easy to whip up, and would save time in the long run.

Sounds good. Go for it. :D Attach it to a post for folks to download. Thanks.

I've ben away imp. Is there anything I have written you think might fit?

Colly, if you've a fairly short (< 10,000 word) story about a woman's first time with another woman, it'd fit beautifully. But really, anything you want to toss into the mix would be fine.

Nice to have you aboard.

EDITED: I just noticed that Logo's story is a first time F/F ... so whatever flavor you want. All stories have to be vetted, anyway.

Hi Everyone!

It looks like my first story submission was just too depressing, so I thought I'd put forth another and see if it's received any better. It's the first story I ever posted here about a woman's first lesbian encounter. It's called Fresh Fruit http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=159913 and is 3331 words long.

Thanks for checking it out!

Will add it with the next table update, Logo. Thanks.
