Not the live forever fantasy, but just doing everything far behind the usual schedule, like starting puberty as a legal adult and trying to cope with adult responsibilities with a barely adolescent mind and body. This person might eventually have a few relationships, but partners always mature faster and leave this person behind. Parents may have dumped this person in foster care because they didn't want to waste their lives on a retarded kid.

I could imagine a man in a barely legal body. I would be curious how he behaves with his experience, but in a young body.

Sounds like an ex-boyfriend of mine. It's not a story worth writing.

There are many men who will never mature, because they are stuck in some stage of childhood or adolescent development. This story idea is not about them. For convenient math, suppose a person has twice the standard human lifetime, with twice the time to learn in each stage of development. Relationships are fleeting. Life may be hard for a long while in a society with rigid boundaries and expectations of age.

I understood what your post was really about, I was just making a joke.
In my Maple Street series Witches age extremely slowly compared to normal humans and it is an important plot point.

Be careful with Lit’s guidelines writing this story. They are the reason Ember didn’t appear onscreen in my Pathfinder fic and Loki only got a love letter in my God of War fic. Immature characters in mature bodies is a dangerous game.
