Writing here has been an eye opening experience for me. My other hobbies, and there are many - too many, some might say - I always tend to be on the older side of the community. But here, and especially with threads like this, I realize I'm still shitting yellow, as Patrick O'Brian might have written.
I do know that my knees and back hurt far more than they used to, and I'm not as quick on a Jeopardy question as I used to be. I'm hoping that all this writing, and the constant flexing of my imagination will keep my brain limber as I get older. And who knows? Maybe someday, if I can ever retire, I'll have so much free time I can do all my hobbies and write the Great American Novel and be remembered for something, lol.
