It's a city? I'm not a huge Marvel person, I mean I can kinda keep up with the big boys but that's more a testament to the fact that most people know next to nothing about comics than me being a huge player. The fuck is an Attillan?

Supposedly Attillan may be the structure that Coulson's (and other people) been scribbling up until now, which has been revealed as a "city" when it was put into three dimensions. Which, IF fo' sheezy, then makes the Obelisk possible Inhuman tech, but still not ruling out the Kree.

Attilan is the ancestral home of the Inhumans, a highly advanced offshoot of the human race. About seven thousand years ago, the Inhumans grew tired of centuries of persecution by their more primitive parent race, and decided to create a place of refuge for themselves. Under the leadership of King Myran, the Inhumans chose as a site for their city a small island in the northern Atlantic Ocean, located about two hundred miles southwest of Iceland. The city, which took several decades to complete, was named Attilan, a name derived from Atlantis, the former pinnacle of civilization on Earth that had vanished beneath the sea about three millennia before. Attilan has been the sole center of the Inhuman population ever since.

For millennia, the Inhumans dwelled in Attilan, isolated from contact with mainstream humanity except for an occasional encounter with a lost Greek or Viking sailing vessel. Finally, in the mid-Twentieth Century, with the advent of steamships and airplanes, the Inhumans began to fear discovery by the human race. When one of his subjects was captured by human beings, young king Black Bolt determined that the Inhumans must move their civilization to some place more secure. Employing anti-gravity generators, the Inhumans moved their entire city and its foundation in one piece. The new site of Attilan, a hidden valley in the Himalayan Mountain range in China, was excavated by the Eternals, another variant offshoot of humanity. The Himalayan site of Attilan became known as "the Great Refuge." The Himalayas did not prove to be remote enough to enable the Inhumans to retain their secrecy, however, and soon the Inhumans' existence became known to several of the governments of the outside world, although not to the general public. While in the Himalayas, all of Attilan's ancient architecture was accidentally destroyed by Black Bolt and the city has been extensively redesigned and rebuilt.

Attilan was relocated once again, this time to escape the effects of Earthly pollution and disease. Attilan is currently located in the "Blue Area of the Moon," nestled in the ruins of an ancient city built by the alien Kree whose technology gives the "Blue Area" its own artificially created atmosphere.

Hmmmm. Interesting. I'll be interested in seeing where they take this.

Oh, that place Hulk visited a couple episodes back. I know that place it's filled from top to bottom with concentrated bad ass.

Hey I'm not seeing it perhaps cus I'm not looking for it. Who on Agent's has the "wrong" abreviation for their name? Joss seems to do that once per show.

Buffy had Xander as opposed to the more traditional Alex
Angel had Fred for Winifred to the hilarity of things.
Dollhouse had Topher instead of the more traditional Chris

He seemed to skip it for Firefly but I think he made up for it with slightly unusual names to begin with so he didn't need to get creative.

When the hell did Skye get so fucking bad ass? She basically won a fight with Agent 33, who in her last showing was shown as being nearly on par with Agent Mai. I mean she lost, but she lost after an epic fight. I would have put Skye a few notches above British Nerd girl in hand to hand combat. Did I miss her becoming a boss?

May's been training her between the seasons... Thou I do agree that she lasted longer than I expected.

Just how many Koenigs are there?

I guess. It is TV and training on tv is great. Six months of training with the best in the world will make you like the third best in the world even if they've been training their entire lives. I mean if I trained with Jackie Chan for a year I bet I'd be able to hold of Chuck Norris for like. . .how fast can he throw a punch? Cus that's how long. Unless I waste time running around like a girl.

I had mixed feelings about Oprah, I've never seen her in a roll where she genuinely looked angry. Waller can win staring contests with fucking Batman for Christsakes. Viola by that standard isn't a poor choice. I wonder if Raven Simone can look angry.

I'm not into plus sized girls, I mean date for personality and can deal but when I'm looking I know what I like. That said as much as I love Arrow I feel the same way when I see that hottie they have playing Waller as I do when Christian "The Goddamn Batman" plays Moses.

Viola Davis has been casted as Amanda Wallace in DC's Suicide Squad.

She beat out Oprah, who was an unlikely running favorite casting by fans. Viola's Q rating is going up, up, up.

I think it's a good choice. She has been good in everything I've seen her in, even when I haven't liked the material.

This is the type of choice Marvel would have made. They don't always go for star power (Tom Hiddleston, anyone?) but want someone who can actually emote.

She has chops.

I like it.

Marvel and Netflix Cast Mike Colter as Luke Cage in ‘Jessica Jones’

Marvel and Netflix have cast “The Good Wife” star Mike Colter as comic book hero Luke Cage, Marvel announced Monday. Colter will make his debut in “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones” in 2015, before going on to headline his own Netflix series.

During the course of an investigation in New York City, private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) encounters the enigmatic Luke Cage — a man whose past has secrets that will dramatically alter Jessica in ways she could never have imagined.

“Mike embodies the strength, edge and depth of Luke Cage,” said “Jessica Jones” showrunner Melissa Rosenberg. “We’re excited to have him bring this iconic Marvel character to life.”

“Fans have longed to see Luke Cage … and in Mike we’ve found the perfect actor,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television. “Viewers will get to meet Luke Cage in ‘Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones,’ and experience why he is such an important superhero in the Marvel mythos.”

After a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

“Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Marvel and Netflix have partnered to adapt four of the publisher’s properties — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist — into four hourlong, 13-episode series, culminating in a crossover miniseries event titled “The Defenders,” which will bring the “street level” characters together. “Daredevil,” starring Charlie Cox as the titular blind hero, will be the first series to debut in 2015. Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” is currently airing its sophomore season on ABC, with “Captain America” spinoff series “Agent Carter,” starring Hayley Atwell, set to bow on ABC on Jan. 6 during “SHIELD’s” midseason hiatus.

Looking good, Marvel, looking good. My Netflix subscription is gonna get a real workout come next year! :D

So handsome, he is. I am glad that he is getting a chance to do something adventurous.
(I really like the Good Wife, but it is tame, by comparison.)

No earthly idea who Luke Cage is.

Shame on you. :D

Luke Cage a.k.a. Power Man, one half of Heroes For Hire. His skin is super-dense-diamond-hard, meaning he can take real hits. And dish 'em back out.

His partner was the martial arts master Iron Fist and they are straight-up NYC cats.

I dig his revised style now, but I did grow up with the funky '70s version of him, so there's fond attachments to that look!
