it really depends on the individual and other factors for me... i'm not hung up on age.

however, that being said, i've never been in a relationship with anyone older than i (probably because i'm emotionally immature) and if all other factors were equal, i'd go for the 21 year old.

While a young hard body can certainly be a temptation, I believe that I would opt for the 40 year old experienced partner. This provides that each are equally attractive to start with. I've had younger girlfriends and while they can be alot of fun to play around with, my experience shows that the more sexually mature partner in the long run is going to provide the more satisfying experience.
By the way, I don't consider 40 very old, frankly women are just moving into their prime around this age.

I'm 30... And I really don't have a preference.

I've been with women as much as 14 years my senior and women much younger... And what I've found is that it all depends on the woman... Some "older" women are very immature/inexperienced for their age and some "younger" women are very mature/experienced for THEIR age.

It also depends on what you want out of the relationship...

If you're looking for just a "fling", then go for someone either much older or much younger than yourself... Chances are that you'll both be looking for totally different things out of life and the chances of getting serious or falling in love are much less... The "older" women and I both had an understanding that it wasn't going to be anything serious... And the "younger" women were just too immature for me to EVER get serious with.

But if you're looking for something serious, I would suggest looking for someone closer to your own age... There's a much better chance that you have similar interests/wants/needs/desires/etc. and are both looking for the same things out of life... AND a relationship.

But, of course, there's always go to be exceptions to the rule... My current GF is 23... *shrugs*

Maybe the question was too vague. The curiosity is to determine:

If discussing the matters of having sex on more than one occasion with a woman (i.e. a longer period of time) would the male of the species prefer someone young and nubile or someone older and experienced.

The age request was to see if there are differences in desires across the age range. As for myself, sure -- both would be really cool but my preference would tend toward the woman of experience. There's some reasons for this most of which have to do with that whole "experience" thing. Not only sexual experience but life experience.

Either way, the question stands now with clarification. Please keep going.

I'm 33 and I've already gone both directions on this one. The older women don't seem to have all the insecurities of the younger ones. They seem much more at home with their sexuality where as the younger ones have great perpencities for prudery on a number of levels. Sure the younger ones are great to look at, but ultimately, I've found the older ones to be much more satisfying and gratifying.

What defines experience. There is a difference in someone with 10 years experience and another person with one years experience 10 times. So age as a determination of experience really doesnt apply. I cannot help to respond to this post, I am a woman aged 37, but if was a woman in my early 20's and heard myself described as a nubile young 'thing', I would turn you down if you came on to me.

Why you ask?

Well if you don't even have the emotionl maturity to refer to me as more than a thing I would assume that getting involved with someone that thoughtless or immature would only spell trouble.
