It was the semi-finals for the football season. It meant that Kali was busy most of the time. As one of the two athletic trainers on staff the team kept her plenty busy. She wrapped ankles and wrists and whatever else before games and tended to the battle wounds during and after the games. Their team had pulled off a narrow win in the final minutes of the game and most of the team was hootin and hollaring in the lockeroom. As a female trainer she was used to the guys and she just laughed as she cut the tape from one of the players ankle. Wearing a team jersey and a pair of sweats she opened her door to trainers office and looked to see who was up next. She couldn't help but to smile when she saw who it was... as a trainer she wasn't supposed to have favorites, but he was hers.

"Hey you, great game. What can I do for ya?"

kali smiled and motioned Jake inside. "So hows the shoulder feeling tonight?" She closed the door behind him as he entered the room. Jake was a sweet guy and he was extremely easy on the eyes too. Kali always liked when it was Jake on her table. He took a seat on the table and Kali leaned against the counter in front of him. "It looked like it didn't bother you too much tonight, which is a good thing.... hows it doin now?"

kali smiled nodding her head. "Well then we better ice it down before you get outta here for the night." Kali went to ice machine and filled the bag. By now Jake knew the routine. He was braced for the icy coldness as she placed the bag on his shoulder and used the plastic wrap to wrap the bag into place. Once it was the she smiled, "now we wait." She leaned against the counter across from him once again, "I know this is a pain in the ass for you but it really dies help with the recovery. If you want once its done I can let you go if you promise to do the heat part at home tonight..... I mean, I'm sure you wanna get to wherever to big celebration party is...and your being held up by the lame trainer.." she ran her fingers thru her long hair.

kali laughed, "alright, then I will trust you to use the heat later." It was always different when Jake was in her office, he wasn't like the other guys on the team. He was more quiet, didn't say much. Kali liked that he was different. She smiled and was surprised when the door opened and one of his teammares popped his head in looking at Jake, "hey man,we are all ready to go...so your just gonna have to meet us there...-maybe the doc will give ya a ride." He said teasingly. Kali smiled at Jake. "You need a ride somewhere? Looks like your ride just bailed on you."

kali smiled, "sure, I can give you a ride...actually one of my girkfriends is the bartender there...maybe I will go in and say hi.... don't worry I won't embarrass you or anything, I will even wait until u go inside before I go in." She smiled, it gave her butterflies just thinking about riding in the car with Jake.

kali nodded and said she had a couple things to finish up in the office anyway and would meet him out front. When he left she smiled. She walked to the coat closet and grabbed a Jean skirt out of her bag she kept there. She wasn't going to a bar wearing sweat pants! She changed and headed out to her car. She climbed inside the Honda and started the car to wrm it up as she waited. When he opened the door and climbed in she couldn't get the stupid smile off her face. "Ready to go?"

they made small talk on the way to the bar. It was nice to spend some alone time with Jake. He really was a nice guy. As they were walking inside he told her she looked amazing, it caught her off guard and she blushed lightky, "well thank you, I appriciate that." They enter the bar and it doesn't take but half a second to spot the entire time inside. Kali smiles, "well I will let you join your friends, I will just go find my girl at the bar." She walked up to the bar leaning up on the counter, her skirt dangerously short from behind. She talked with her friend who served her a shot to celebrate the teams victory. As the bartender helped another guest Kali scanned the bar and spotted Jake sitting with the guys. She smiled his way.

kali was surprised when Jake walked over to the bar, even more so when he asked if she wanted ti do a shot with him. She smiled, "sure..if you can handle it." She teased. The bartender set them uo with their shots and smiled at Kali, "not bad at all Kali...enough to make me jealous." Kali blushed a crimson red and for used on Jake again, raising her shot. "To spending time with friends." She said before they downed their shots. She felt the shot warm her insides all the way down,

kali laughed when he suggested another round. Its a good thing I live a block away from here or I could be in trouble.. They took the shots and Kali could feel the alcohol buzzing in her system, she was normally the good girl, the girl who made sure everyone else was doing OK... she smled at him, "umm, have you noticed the entire team staring this direction?" She laughed as Jake looked over and saw she was right, they were all looking. "Is there something I don't know?"

kali was surprised when he admitted to having a crush on her. "I wondered why they all seemed to give you a hard time when I was around.... guess it makes sense now.... so what took you so long to tell me?....I mean, its been 3 seasons!" She laughed. "We could have spared ourselves a lot of torture had you said something sooner..." when he simply stared at her she smiled and put her hand gently on his shoulder, "your not the only one with a crush Jake."

kali just smiled, what could she say. "I never said anything before because I didn't think you would be genuinely interested." She was caught off guard as his lips touched hers but she kissed him back. When he pulled back she smiled, "I've waited quite some time for that kiss...." she leaned towards him and kissed his lips again softly. She could hear the guys all cheering and calling out to them but she didn't focus on any of them but Jake. It felt too damn good to taste him, finally. She smiled, "it was worth the wait."

was this really happening? Had she really just kissed Jake? She smiled when their lips parted and she heard the words. She nodded her head and smiled, "I would love to get outta here." She pushed away from the bar and took his hand leading the way out the front doors to her car. "Where to?"

Kali couldn't believe it was actually happening. She had almost given up on her fantasy of her and Jake getting together. She met his kiss back passionatly as she pinned him against her car. Her head was buzzing, she could feel the sparks shooting from their electric kiss and she wanted more.

"Jake, we should take this somewhere where the entire teams not going to be standing outside watching....." she smiled and unlocked the car door. Her legs were trembling and her hands were shaking... "Like I said, my place is only a couple blocks from here...."
