Haven't we learned our lesson with Iraq. The military industrial complex is always trying to make it seem like we are threatened to justify the 2 trillion the Mitt wants to spend. We really don't even need an army. The last time the United States was invaded was !814. With the money we spent on making the Iraq people less safe than they were, we could have taken care of the healthcare needs of every American.

The military should only be for defensive purposes. It should be small, efficient, and with a strong component of WMDs as a deterent to potential aggressors. It should only be used when or if we are attacked and then only to eliminate that particular enemy and then quickly brought home. It should not be a tool for the military-industrial complex to enrich itself or as a jobs program for people who eff'ed up in high school and couldn't get a private sector job.
