Claire has been a teacher at Richmont High for the past 3 years, having at that time already acquired her doctorate in English Literature. She enjoys teaching at the High School level, mostly because she had such an awesome experience at that age herself. She isn't nearly as old as many of the other teachers, who usually range from their late 40's to their early 60's. She coaches the girls softball team, to get involved outside of the classroom and get to know her students better.

Suou has been in Doctor Richards' class for several months now, and has done most of the work. Unfortunately, he needs some help on a special project for her class. As such, he's arranged some meetings after school with her to work on it in her lab.

Claire was sitting on the windowsill that overlooked the baseball fields. Most of the students were outside for gym, and it was such a beautiful day that she decided to relax. She had her hair styled back and a few bangs lay against her gently face. The window's were cracked to allow a gentle breeze inside. She had a notebook on her lap, and she was scribbling notes and such. The door to her classroom opened, and when she glanced over she saw the familiar form her student Suou.

She got up from her position and went to stand next to her desk. Folding her arms across her chest she leaned back against the table, Suou making his way to his usual seat.

"So." she started off, as most teachers usually do. "Having a bit of trouble doing research are we?" she asked him.

Suou had a big case with him, and he carried it into the classroom. He walked over to his seat, and then sat down, lifting the case up onto the desk. When she walked over, he smiled, and nodded. "A little, yeah. My project was to make a parody of various writing styles in a manuscript. Unfortunately, I've hit a roadblock. I can't seem to find examples of satire to parody." He looked up at her. She really was quite beautiful, he thought. Of course, he was just her student. Then again, if she read some of what he was writing, she'd probably get just hot enough under the collar to start stripping for him. He shrugged those thoughts away, trying to clear his mind of unnecessary clutter.

Suou took out his work case, which contained an assortment of papers, notebooks, etc. Claire moved to stand next to him as he sat down and opened it up, taking out a few papers and shuffling them around.

"A little, yeah. My project was to make a parody of various writing styles in a manuscript. Unfortunately, I've hit a roadblock. I can't seem to find examples of satire to parody."

"Well what have you come up with so far? I know you said you hit a roadblock, but tell me what you have so far and we'll work from that." she said, moving to sit on her desk again. She took out her notebook, laying it next to her. She would probably end up using the blackboard, but she liked to have paper ready anyways.

Suou thought for a moment, leafing through his notebooks, and handed her one. "That's what I've got so far." He didn't tell her that part of it contained a fantasy of her. He hoped she didn't recognize it, or that if she did, it got her wet enough to not be angry.

Claire took the papers from him, probably numbering only 4 of 5 pages. She wore contants most of the time, but today she had to wear her glasses. Slipping them on she flipped through the pages. She giggled slightly, and then looked up at him.

"I'm surprised you were bold enough to write something like this." she said. "This kind of work isn't usually accepted from high school students. It can get you in trouble." she added, handing it back.

"So, you've obviously got talent in writing, otherwise you wouldn't be in this class. So, as to your dilemma... I can suggest topics for you to consider, but the research will be your homework." she said.

Suou watched her read through the papers. Then she giggled. He found that a little odd, but he accepted her explanation of it not being usually accepted by high school students. He shrugged, then stretched, and nodded. "Any suggestions would be helpful, Miss Richards."

"Well, there's plenty of current events that you can do some work on. Either look online for news articles or pick up a newspaper even. Since you're doing it on written works then I imagine those will be your main sources. But if you want to do something on more older works..." she trailed off thinking.

"You like plays?" she asked suddenly.

Suou blinked at the sudden change in conversation. He thought for a moment, then smiled. "Depends on the play. I like most of Shakespeare's work."

"Well there are hundreds upon hundreds of plays that you could write a parody on. Shakespeare has been done before, but he was the kind of person to come up with lots of ideas. Why don't you do some research on his stuff, and find any plays that were based off his own? I don't usually tell my students to use this site, but Wiki usually has external references that might be useful." she added, getting up from her seat.

"I hope that'll at least open up some doors for you. And, as a sidenote... the um, controversial subjects are better kept private. These reports you write I was planning on putting up for display when the regional publishers make the visit here." She added with a smile.

"And my eyes are blue not green." she added moving to sit back on the windowsill.

Suou listened to her, making notes as she spoke. He nodded as she said to change the content, then nearly dropped his pen at her last statement. He turned to look at her, wide-eyed. His first thought was 'oh shit I'm in deep trouble now."

Claire had written down some notes as she sat down, the wind blowing her hair in her eyes. She turned to look at Suou who looked petrified. She had a warm smile on her face.

"You didn't think you were the only person to write something like that were you? Although you are the only one to actually hand it in as part of your research." She smiled.

"Don't worry, I'm not upset. I think it's cute." she added.

Suou blinked, then blushed, and looked down at his desk. He had no idea what to say to that. He absently rearranged his work, then put it back in the case. He sat there, trying to think. It was all he could do not to look up and stare at her.

"So, if you want you can use the computer over there." Claire said, nodding at the stationary that was available for the students to use.

"If you want to listen to music too that's fine, but as long as you have headphones. I'll be over here in case you need anything." she added, her eyes resting as the wind gently blew inside.

Suou blinked, then nodded. He picked up some empty notebooks, then headed over to the computer. He sat down, turning it on, and then started a few searches. Then he pulled a MiniDisc player out of his coat, and put some headphones on, starting up some techno music. He listened to the music, absorbing the information from the computer. Every few minutes, he'd right something down in the notebook, and then go back to searching.

After a good amount of time Claire sat up, setting her notebook down. She got to her feet and walked over towards Suou, placing a hand on his shoulder to get his attention.

"How's the work coming along?" she asked.

Suou blinked, nearly jumping out of his seat. He hadn't excepted her to walk up behind him and do what she did. He slowly turned and looked up at her, then shrugged. "Slowly. I've gotten a lot of information, but I've a long way to go before I can start writing again."

"Well as long as you're actually get some material to work off. But it's getting fairly late in the afternoon and I'll be heading home soon. So you better wrap up what you're doing." Claire said moving back to her desk, sitting down in her seat as she shuffled around a few papers, sliding folders inside her pack.

Suou nodded slowly, then quickly finished up his research for the moment. Then he turned to look at her. "So...you're not upset that I fantasize about you?"

Claire smiled.

"No I'm not upset. Like I said before, you're not the first to do something like that. But don't worry about it, I won't tell on you or report on you. Just make sure that doesn't make it into the final version." she said grinning and shaking her head lightly.

Suou nodded slowly, his face flushing red as he turned back to his notebooks, and started to pack them up.

OOC: if anything's going to happen between them she's going to have to initiate it
