After "Preview Post" selected (. o n l i n e) url address changes to asterisks

After "insert link", insert my url, then Preview Post, the url address changes from "dot online" to asterisks. I cannot even type ". online" without it changing to asterisks. If you put the "." next to the "o" in online it changes to asterisks and the link doesn't work.

******** <<< SEE, ASTERISKS!!! It was (. o n l i n e) - whiteout the spaces before I hit preview post.

Anyone have any idea why?
Sincerely,
D.

Certain words and websites are not allowed so they get changed to asteriks.

For example the website image fap becomes www.********.com even if I type the name without spaces ******** it changes.

This is not something you can control. That domain is blocked by this site.

Quit spamming shit sites that are loaded with malware then.

What are you talking about? I purchased a domain with the extension . o n l I n e to store my content so I can share it on here. I didn't know that lit blocks that extension.
Sincerely,
D.

It's not just sites with malware, it could be underage content or Lit may have recieved a Cease and Desist order. I never heard of tthe OP's domain before, so I know nothing about it.

But it's not just malware that gets a a site/domain blocked.

What's wrong with your PC at home? Why the dot online domain? Why not just a .net or .us or .(other country) domain?

Reader want to know.

Mr, Zeb, are you this antagonistic with everyone or is it just me? Have I done something to offend you?

I asked a question. An honest to goodness question and I'm getting the 3rd degree.

I'm tired of uploading content to a website and having it unceremoniously taken away. Ahem, Tumblr, Photobucket... I decided I'd rather pay a little bit to forgo this possibility in the future.

If you must know, the hosting service I selected had several domain names to choose from. Some were free. dot online was the first one so I selected it.
How was I supposed to know that lit would block that particular extension? Would you have known?

If there is a way to post an image or video without having it somewhere on the web I don't know what that would be.
You can insert a link to a URL address for a video or you can insert an image. Again, with a URL address.
If you know of a way to post an image directly to lit, by all means share it.

Mr. Salacious, thank your for your responses and attempts to help or at least enlighten me to other possibilities. It is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
D.

Sorry about the way you took what I said, but Lit has a lot of spammers of sites with malware and virus come here and attempt to get everyone to click on them.

There are many sites where you can upload an image or a video and then use the URL here without it being blocked. Unfortunately, I don't post any images that I would need them.

And no I wouldn't know before hand if a site/domain would be blocked, but I also wouldn't come here to bitch about it if it happened.

IF you know where the image lives, you use for a link to a video you use http://myurl.xxx if you want to give it a caption replace the second instance of the url name with the text you want the reader to see.

This is what's known as a "non-apology". You accused OP of spamming malware sites and now you're implying it's their fault for taking that accusation the wrong way?

Literotica has good reason for blocking certain sites, but the implementation is clumsy and has a lot of false positives - it's even been known to block links within Literotica! It's out of line to assume that everybody who runs into that filter is a spammer.

You probably figured it out by now, but there is absolutely no rhyme or reason why some image storing sites are ok and some are not. You CAN share something from your dropbox, but you CAN'T from your google drive!

The best way to figure out what works around here is to look what most people use, especially what they use for their own images, not random internet finds. I would say it is imgur and dropbox for the most part, but I have see few other sites too.

Thanks for the info. Like you said no rhyme or reason....
I've moved on and have found something that works.
Just didn't want my posts all screwed up again.
Photobucket and Tumblr did a job, let me tell you...
I don't mind paying a little bit every year for it to NOT happen again.
Sincerely,
D.
