Her head was swimming and it was only midnight. She had gotten high from second hand pot smoke during the party and well, it made her smile no matter what. Even the guy on the lawn throwing up made her smile.

And giggle.

It was the end of mid terms and students were celebrating! As was she. And why not? Didn't she deserve this? After all that studying and bracing down for the past 2 weeks, she needed to let off some steam.

Lilly wanted to have some fun tonight but at the moment, she was in between boyfriends.

In between jerk boyfriends. Since coming to college, all she dated were jocks. And right now, she was rethinking her decision on that one. None of the guys she dated were really worth it......worth it enough to lose her virginity to that is.......

Jason took the last swig of his drink, flipping the plastic cup lazily into the bushes. He was coming up the block from a party of grad students, celebrating the end of the next-to-last year of their slaving away, striving for their MBAs.

Most of them, trust-funders to the end, were getting rowdy in a way that wasn't going to do it for him. A little pot, the scent of which lingered in the air, was fine, but the rich kids had broken out the coke, and that was his signal to take a walk to the bar, where a few friends in the psych program were controlling the jukebox with cheesy classic rock.

His head swam a little, the buzz working it's way into his senses. The street was alive with students celebrating the end of the semester. His fingers tingling, he ran a hand through his short, dark hair.

He laughed a little, side stepping around a sophomore throwing up in the lawn at the edge of the sidewalk. Being careful as he made his way around here, he almost crashed directly into Lily.....

Still watching the guy, Lilly's head was turned as she walked on and she let out a scream with ended up in a laugh as her arms wrapped around someone as she tried to keep her balance!

She swung her long red hair out of her face and laughed again as she looked up....first at a chest and then her head moved back as she finally saw a familiar face. Her eyes lit up, "Hey.....Jason...?" she said, making sure she was sure.. she had seen him around campus before but never said more than hi to him in passing.

"What's going on?"

Startled, Jason caught her, his arms wrapped harmlessly around her mid-section.

He slightly tilted his head back as she swiped her hair past his chin. His nose caught the light scent of her flowery perfume, mixed with just a bit of marijuana. What he had of his senses returned, and he laughed a little.

Jason recognized Lily-he'd been a TA in a Marketing course she'd taken back in the spring. She was bright and attentive as a student, but frequently seemed more concerned with the previous night's events and the following night's parties than with segmentation theory. He doubted that she'd even realized he was the TA in that class.

That said, he'd always found Lily attractive, but out of reach. For one, his role as a TA was to keep arm's length from the undergrads. Second, though he'd played some baseball and basketball in high school, and still had the slender, lithe frame to show for it, it seemed Lily's interests gravitated towards the burlier types.

All of that was pushed aside for the time being. She'd stumbled, quite literally, into his arms. As his senses came back him, he smiled gently, his hands ever so slightly falling away from her back as she steadied herself.

"Hey, Lily. Um, nothing, really. Was just heading out from a party up the block. Deciding if it's worth heading out from here or not. What about you? Seems like this one's breaking up"
