Here's something I've been thinking about for a little while. An Affirmation Thread. Anybody ever had anything to do with Affirmations before? I have. I admit, when I first was involved with them, I was highly skeptical and thought what a crazy idea they are.

Anyway, I'm feeling soppy so sit back and enjoy the recognition.

here goes:

Thank you to Literotica.com for allowing me to submit stories here. To become a 'published' author in this manner has helped me learn a lot.

Thank you to the Readers who have bothered to click on my stories and try them out. Also thank you for your feedback which has encouraged me to continue writing.

Thank you to those Authors of you who have helped me grow. Those whom I have given feedback to, and those who have given me feedback, all too numerous to name specifically but nonetheless very important people. :) I'm learning a great deal every single day.

Without names, Affirmations tend to sound generalised. So taking the bullet by the barrel here goes.

Thank you to:

jon, your trust in my editing has given me such a confidence boost.

ray, your querying of my comments has opened my eyes and helped me learn a great deal, what did we need a truce for? ;)

DVS, your wit, pc skills, voluntary helpfulness are appreciated dear.

KillerMuffin, your obvious intelligence and willingness to offer help to others has often found me searching out your educating comments, thank you for them.

Hitchhiker, for confirming my 'love all no matter what race or creed' attitude.

Leslie, for your honesty and unconditional acceptance.

MW, thank you for your mentorship.

Above all, thank you all for our friendship.

ok so i'm in a soppy mood today ;)

Of course thanks sweet for that comment.

I also have to thank Lit for being here in whatever capacity.

I am a chataholic. Have been for a long time, and expect to be one tomorrow.

About oh half a year back though I burned out in my interest to use the popular ICQ chat software.
I had found the average user was A. sexually repressed (obsessed with telling me how little they liked to talk about sex) B. completely uninterested in talking about anything of merit (by merit I mean something that will get a person to stay up late chatting about) and C. just plain incapable of stringing together a sentence exceeding 5 words.

But one long term chat friend mentioned Literotica.

Naturally I assumed "hmm site devoted to talking about sex".

So I checked it out (after removing my shorts and getting ready to flirt with the intent being to jack off chatting with some equally horny individual).

Man what a surprise.

Sure the site will have people only here to jack off. And they may be the more numerous too. But I was in the Stories and Authors chat room having the most intellectual conversations ever. Yes I said intellectual.
It sure was refreshing.
And I enjoyed the fact I had to actually watch what I said, or I would end up looking like a moron better left told to go play with myself and not be annoying.

So I have to say, most of what I have gained from Literotica has been what I originally was looking for, but in an environment where sex wasn't default assumed (by me at least).

I have met a better grade of chat partner since coming to Lit as well. I reeeeeeeally enjoy a chat where the person can actually spell the full word rather than requiring the stunted versions. I like that the people in Lit can actually think!!

Thanks Literotica. You have given me quite a lot, and more than I thought possible.

WildSweetOne You are the one who deserves thanks. Your comments have helped me so much it's scary. I really respect your opinion and you as a person. That says a lot 'cause I don't respect very many people :p

I too must say thank you to Laurel and Manu for the Literorica site, that has not only allowed me to publish my work, but also given me an enviroment where I have been able to develop those skills.

Thank you too to the people who have read my stories, even bigger thank you's to those who have taken the time to give constructive feedback.

My heartfelt thanks must go to Wildsweetone and Ladyphoenix for the many hours they must have spent editting my element of the chain story Talisman, (it will be up later this month - sorry could not resist the plug).

Thanks must go to KillerMuffin for organising this years Survivor, a challenge that pushes any author who wants to extend their skills as story tellers.

On the same subject thank you Judo for your hard work as GENERALISIMO of the "TALISMAN" chain story.

I must say thanks for your insights on redneck thinking to Ray.

The list is endless so Marksgirl, Hitchhiker, Sonofagun, Alex de Kock, Anneski and everyone else on Literotica - thank you.

jon

For all of you:rose: :rose:

Thanks to Lit, first as a reader, then as a writer, for providing such a top class site.

Thanks to everyone who's given me feedback, as an amateur author, it's nice to know somebody cares about what I write.

If I name people, I know I'll leave somebody out and offend, so I won't make a list, but thanks especially go to Whispersecret for her sterling entries in the Author Help section. They've really helped my writing.

I, too, would like to thank everyone for the posting and stories that they have taken the time and effort to post or submit. I also want to thank Laurel et al. for their efforts in keeping this site up and running in a professional manner. "THREE CHEERS" for your efforts.

Just to chime in, I really enjoy this site and the fun, articulate, saucy folks who share their creativity and support. It is great to be able to go someplace where I can post my naughty stories and thoughts, commiserate with and congratulate fellow authors, and all that good stuff. Literotica is the best!
